My self-summary
In person, I am invariably likeable, easygoing, and diplomatic. This does not mean, however, that I am malleable or have no opinions.

I am honest and have been told I'm easy to talk to. However, I abhor superficiality, and in all the important relationships in my life, I strive for a real and intimate connection.

I was incredibly fortunate to grow up in a liberal household. My parents instilled in me a drive to pursue my dreams, to never stop learning and to think critically about the world and the people in it. Perhaps because of this I have developed a passion for global sustainability, and more recently an interest in alternative communities.

Being a writer makes me an extremely critical reader. I read a lot of books. However, for pleasure I invariably gravitate to speculative fiction novels. I also love to watch movies. I enjoy action, drama, and comedy equally well, the only unwavering criterion being that the movie must be smartly written. And when it comes to music, I like all sorts, including rock, alternative, folk, pop, big band, and metal. However, I can barely tolerate country.

I am sincere, polyamorous, and a peacemaker
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer with a number of published science fiction and fantasy novels under my belt. That said, you've likely never heard of me.

I also have a day job as a content professional in the tech industry. I work for a remora -- one of many companies that exist only to suck blood off the largest shark software company in the world.

I am fortunate to have two awesome kids and a fabulous partner, fennecfox, who happily shares my poly relationship philosophy.
I’m really good at
Figuring people out. Writing novels. Editing novels. Putting people at ease. I'm honest, but not blunt. I won't offend you even if I don't agree with you.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the world can be made a better place, and what role I can have in it. How I can fit everything I want to do into the rest of my life, and not starve myself or my children.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have no secrets.
