My self-summary
I am down to earth (I moonlight as a coal miner), I have a great sense of humor (I can usually sense when someone is laughing at me). I like moonlit walks on the beach (its the best time to find endangered sea turtles laying their eggs--endangered sea turtle egg omelette...mmm). You probably can't tell from my picture, but I once had a lucrative career as a male model (that is, before the horrible--sob--horrible accident). DUH, I'm being sarcastic.
Wow, I was just sarcastic about being sarcastic. Is that redundant or ironic? To further explore these, and other semantic mysteries, feel free to contact me.

I am absolutely not looking for someone down to earth--In fact, if you are a female astronaut currently living and working on the international space station you are just what I am looking for--CALL ME. I am not really looking for anyone "laid back" I tend to prefer women who lean forward most of the time. I am looking for someone "real"; not "imaginary" like my last girlfriend. I am looking for someone who will like me for me (or who will at least like the mental image of who they think I am-- you know, whatever works). I would like to meet someone who likes to play games and will jerk me around (example: "Yahtzee! Oh, and I never really loved you"), its what I'm used to...

I am anachronistic, quixotic, and into SAT vocabulary

Seriously though, grew up in miami, currently a grad student. Looking for someone worth spending time with.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently a professor and administrator. Also I want to be a spaceman when I grow up.
I’m really good at
a lot of things.
The first things people usually notice about me
this one is your call
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The complete works of William Shakespeare. The Story of O. The Pearl. The Art of War. The Book of Five Rings. On the Road. Ordeal and Triumph. A Soldier's Story. Achtung Panzer!... You know what never mind this will take forever.

Movies: Seven Samurai, The Third Man, Casablanca, The Secretary, Yojimbo, Sanjuro, The Hidden Fortress, Rashomon, Paths of Glory, Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Kingdom of Heaven, Lord of the Rings trilogy, the six parts of the increasingly misnamed Star Wars trilogy, Patton, Ran, The Twilight Samurai, Borat, ....You know what, never mind, this will take forever.

The six things I could never do without
Football, Good Food, Good drinks, Books, Sex and Family. I mean honestly, everything else is just gravy. (These are in increasing levels of importance)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art, History, Science, my family, my friends, my future. Also: where do the expressions "more than one way to skin a cat" and "more fun than a barrel full of monkeys" come from? I mean honestly, there must have been some kind of burgeoning serial killer with a literary bent somewhere back in the day because most normal people don't skin cats or ship primates in barrels...
On a typical Friday night I am
having a drink with friends
You should message me if
