My self-summary
At this point in my life, I'm slowing down to smell the flowers, enjoy what life gives, and rediscover it with a soulmate.

I've been a smart, driven, hardworking girl since I was a kid. And though I will always respect accomplishment and move towards it, there is more to life than winning. There's the majesty of a sunset, the smile of a child, the exquisite genius of poetry.

I've always been independent and part of me will never stop exploring, learning, trying out new things for myself and the people I love. But there is so much more that you can see and savor if you fly with wings rather than scale arduously a mountain.

I'm a writer/editor by profession. That means I love books, self-development arts and culture, especially drama. But on occasion I've hiked a mountain and done silly stuff if it meant breaking loose and letting my hair down. It may take some time to get to know me, but those who do (family, friends and lovers) know that I am pretty honest, and can be very loyal, supportive, and loving.

I am smart, independent, and trustworthy
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm holding several jobs, one in a website company, another in a publishing house. After a four-year intense juggling act, shuttling back and forth between work and the academia, I finally finished my master's degree in Journalism.
I’m really good at
Writing, analyzing situations and coming up with solutions, finding opportunities, getting things done, standing firm when the fires get hot...My family and friends have called me an anchor, a pillar of support, and there must be a reason why :)
The first things people usually notice about me
My intensity, the way I talk, my passion for my work, my protectiveness for my family
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead (I admire the humanism that promotes the nobility of spirit although I disagree with the atheism), The Power of Full Engagement by Jim Loehr, a good science-fiction read, history, philosophy, business, biography

Magazines: Vanity Fair, Empire

Movies: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Chariots of Fire

Music: Broadway musicals (Les Miserables is a favorite), a little of classical, the 60s-70s like John Denver,Simon and Garfunkel, etc. (they had more poetry then)

Foods: Becoming a health food buff
Six things I could never do without
My family and friends My cell phone My PC / laptop My email My DVD collection The nearby library
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future, the people I care for, the hobbies I'd still like to try out, the places I'd like to go, and if there's a partner/soulmate for me
On a typical Friday night I am
Either burning calories in the gym, watching a good movie at home, or having dinner with my friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmm...all I can say is silent waters run deep and sometimes they got a volcano burning under them. :)
You should message me if
You'd like to be friends with a smart, direct, but loyal Asian lady
The two of us
