Ok, so much for truth in advertising. Here are some random facts:
I'm half-English, which means I'm eccentric but a gentleman.
I spent the '90s hanging around Washington DC and then bailed out for the greener pastures of The Greatest City On Earth. (uh, Ballmer, hon... allegedly...)
I'm a kinda easy-going, creative type... except in traffic. By nature I'm enthusiastic and also sarcastic as my people are from the North of England. I'm a genetic smartass, I guess.
I am good company and have an easy laugh.
People often comment on my brain and what it produces - which is kinda weird, I guess, but it's true!
I was a journalist and commercial artist for many years. Now my business card says "Strategy." But my passion is music and I have devoted a lot of time to writing, recording and performing.
I am beloved by children and animals.
I appreciate the high arts but practice the low arts.
I enjoy travel, good grammar and great beer.
I have attended a rock concert at a lesbian bar in a gorilla outfit.
I like movies in general, especially on the big screen, and will watch most anything. I favor off-beat movies from Terry Gilliam, Coen Brothers, Kiewslowski, Jean-Pierre Jeunet. I like the US edit of The Professional better than the French version.
I have a real love-hate thing going with the TV. TV is brain candy, and shows lose their flavor just like gum. But I enjoy comedy and I like documentaries, especially nature docs. Did you see Spencer Wells' "The Journey of Man: A Genetic Odyssey?"
I'm a musician, so I love many kinds of music (and am maddeningly intolerant of others). Live music is best! Also, living in Bmo after DC means luxuriating in free-format radio... WTMD, WPFW, WRNR, WBJC... If you have not discovered WKHS (90.5), from Kent County Hugh School, you are missing out.
