My self-summary
I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and spent my early years diving into big piles of leaves, splashing around in Lake Michigan, making snow angels, and playing hide-and-seek in the cornfields behind my house. Then I went to school. A lot. With a few degrees and an overabundance of patience, I became a teacher.

I enjoy my job, and I'm lucky to have many amazing friends and a big, loving family. I'm happy, and I have a great life. I'm looking to share it with someone who is adventurous, funny, and unique.

I feel fortunate to have moved around a bit, and I've enjoyed living in different places. I love Boston, and it's home now, but someday I'd like to move somewhere warmer.

I am curious, enthusiastic, and compassionate.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm teaching high school English, which means I'm spending a lot of time planning lessons, grading essays, and answering emails about homework assignments. I also read, watch movies, go to museums, work out, take long walks with my foxhound Gracie, bake (mostly cookies, but I just made my first red velvet cake with coconut buttercream frosting), cook dinner for myself and my roommate, and people watch in various bars around town. And I always make time for those who mean the most to me.
I’m really good at
giving gifts (and greeting cards)
laughing at myself
sleeping through loud noises (my alarm, construction, my niece and nephew crying, etc.)
spotting errors in grammar
appreciating the little things
making cocktails (and drinking them)
telling stories (and making sound effects)
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes or my butt (depending on which way I'm facing).

On a typical Friday night I am
It varies....I could be having a drink with friends, on an awkward date, on a fun and exciting date, at the movies, on the couch with a book, cooking dinner, cleaning my apartment, grading papers, wandering around the MFA, playing drinking House Hunters International over Skype with my BFF, out dancing, or, if I'm really lucky, having a romantic night at home with (your name here?).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This is a second-date kind of question.
You should message me if
you're curious.
