My self-summary
I'm a polyamorous, independent, silly woman; I love life, people, experiences, and the proper use of the semicolon.

If I want to do something, I do it. I don't ask questions, and I have a tendency to jump in feet first. Sometimes I get halfway through doing something before I realize that I didn't entirely think it though, and it's back to the drawing board. I don't really have any back-up plans - just lots and lots of forward plans.

My favorite color is rainbow, and I refuse to accept the argument that rainbow is not actually a color.

I spend a lot of time trying to find enough time for all of my hobbies - I constantly find ways to keep busy. Music and dance are a huge part of that. I dance in a semi-professional Scottish and Irish dance troupe and play more musical instruments than I can count on two hands. I work Renaissance faires and do some historical reenactment. I do lots of crafting and I write a lot. I enjoy doing yoga, hiking, general working out, and horseback riding. There's a lot more, but I prefer to save some things for conversation.

I teach elementary school, which is both hilarious and nerve-wracking.

I'm deeply in love with my girlfriend. We date people both separately and together.

Also hopelessly devoted to my dog.
What I’m doing with my life
Devoting a lot of time and energy to my teaching practice, wondering when it's going to feel like I know what I'm doing.

Making music.

Living consciously.

Finding time to laugh.

Actively refusing to stop learning.

Lots and lots of crafting.

Finding new events to go to.

I recently found myself walking down Sunset Blvd. at 1am passing out homemade chocolate cupcakes to strangers. Not something I would have expected, but an experience I would be willing to repeat.
I’m really good at
Teaching (I say this facetiously, but I'm doing my best).

Playing lots of different musical instruments, and sometimes playing two at the same time.

Making people laugh.

Making other people feel loved.

Creating euphamisms.

Helping things grow.

The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my hair - when I wear it down I usually end up with a charming "just burned villages" look. Or maybe the fact that I'll try to make a joke out of anything.

Six things I could never do without
Chosen family, good books, musical instruments, rainbows, laughter, options.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lesson plans, dance steps I need to remember, what Schroedinger's cat was doing in that box in the first place, where and how I want to travel, writing, moustaches, my garden, what I want to brew next, how awesome it would be if laundry would do itself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably exhausted. Possibly cooking either at home and/or with friends, possibly out, possibly playing board and/or card games, possibly performing, possibly packing and/or headed out of town for a random weekend trip, possibly in front of my sewing machine, possibly on a creative tangent that will last for hours, possibly trying to use the word "possibly" as many times as, well..... possible.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I know why a raven is like a writing desk.
You should message me if
You're creative, intelligent, and passionate about what you do.

You think that Ren Faires and other nerdy things sound like fun.

You like poly people and want more of them in your life.

You think we'd have something interesting to say to each other.

I can't see who's liked me, so instead of liking me go ahead and send a message.
