My self-summary
The first thing you have to know about me is that I am very introverted. I like my alone time, and I don't have much fun in big crowds. When I do get close to people, I open up much more (and I usually get a lot louder), but it takes me a while. One on one, or once you get to know me, I can be a lot of fun though.
What I’m doing with my life
I am in the middle of a very long break from attending UGA, partially for financial reasons, and partially for more existential reasons. I'm still on my path to discovering what my passions are and what I really want to spend my time on. I've pursued career paths in the past that would allow me a creative outlet. I'm now trying to find something with a better balance between allowing me lots of room for adventure and creativity and putting me in an at least somewhat stable financial situation.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at waggling my eyebrows.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically, the thing that people always seem to point out is my eyes. Lately, I've also had various crazy hair colors. Also my nose ring. I'm pretty quiet in big groups, but that can change pretty fast when I get the chance to talk to one or two people in a more intimate setting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love books and movies very much. I am more interested in these things as art forms and less as simple entertainment. I do, of course, like watching movies for fun as well, but I do enjoy studying these types of media.

Books: The Bell Jar (or anything at all by Sylvia Plath); The Kite Runner; Poisonwood Bible; Walt Whitman; Toni Morrison...I could go on forever.

Movies: Into the Wild is my absolute favorite above anything else; Requiem for a Dream; Her; Pan's Labyrinth; Detachment; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Nymphomaniac; Never Let Me Go; Little Miss Sunshine; Princess Bride

TV Shows: Lost, Queer As Folk; Game of Thrones; Doctor Who; Jessica Jones; Parks and Rec; Portlandia; Dollhouse...

Music is more of an enjoyment for me than a study. I am really open to any kind of music. Some of my favorite songs and artists are from totally opposite genres. I like a lot of folk, alternative, some EDM, a friend of mine has gotten me interested in some types of metal even. I feel like I can't bring it down to specific favorite artists.

I really like Thai and Vietnamese food.
The six things I could never do without
I really need my alone time, but then I also need to be around people often too. I get lonely pretty easily.

I don't know what I'd do without music in my life. That sounds like such a cliche answer, but I really mean it.

Perogies. If you don't know what they are, you're missing out.

Walt Whitman. If you need a way to turn me on, reading me some Whitman is an easy way to do it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about traveling a lot and how I desperately want to, but fear I won't really get the chance. Not to sound incredibly cliche, but based on the small amount of travelling I have done, it's generally a somewhat transformative experience.
I am constantly thinking how to separate myself from my societal bias in order to determine how I actually feel about anything.
Basically the one thing that I really know that I want is a Tiny House or something similar. There was a while when I was convinced I was going to buy an old school bus and turn it into something liveable. I've gotten away from that idea, but the general concept is still something that I want and think about a lot, but is presently unattainable.
I also am constantly jotting down half formed film ideas and concepts.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't know that I really have a "typical" Friday night because my work schedule is not the same every week. Although, I would say that I go between working, doing something low key either downtown or at one of our places, and having a very intimate night alone with my Netflix account.
You should message me if
You should message me if you are interested in meeting, even if it is only to have a really intense conversation about something really interesting. I don't have enough of those, and I would be perfectly happy to have more, even with no strings attached.
