My self-summary
Creative, occasional smart-ass, sometime history geek, lefty idealist trapped in the conscious mind of a cynic, heavy over-user of parentheses, pretty chilled out (usually) kinda guy who makes videos and sometimes takes photos for a living. Child of the countryside but now living in the commuter belt, I enjoy being much closer to everything fun but I do kinda miss the fresh air...
What I’m doing with my life
Just started working at a well known company in London as a video editor, after having worked freelance for about 5 years. If you want to make something moving image based then drop me a line, always happy to chat about that kind of stuff!
I’m really good at
Can be a bit of a whizz in the kitchen if I'm that way inclined, although don't ask me to make sweet stuff as I'll invariably have a disaster moment. I'd like to think I'm good at my job too, although that's not really for me to judge (just to occasionally worry about).
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the beard
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - How about authors instead? Brett Easton Ellis, Philip K. Dick, Ken Macleod.

Movies - Way too many! Some recent ones off the top of my head:
Fantastic Mr Fox
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Pacific Rim
The Grand Budapest Hotel

TV - The Wire, Generation Kill, Breaking Bad, Spartacus, Archer, Red Dwarf

Music - Pearl Jam, Aphex Twin, Bombay Bicycle Club, Vex'd, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Justice. Also if you know who Speedy Ortiz are and like them then I'm pretty sure we'd get on.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I'm watching a film I can't help but notice interesting bits of technical artistry or thinking about how they've set stuff up. Unusually for me I don't need to really vocalise these thoughts though, although if you'd like to have a discussion about that kind of stuff (recent example - why is there such extensive use of wide-angle lenses in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas? ) then get in touch!
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends having fun or possibly finishing off some work if I have a pressing deadline.
You should message me if
You think we might get along!
