My self-summary
I have a wicked, dry sense of humor. I know a little bit about a lot of things. I like to connect disparate elements and realize patterns. I excel at one on one conversations. I am patient with others, but not always with myself. Listening to my own heart and gut serves me well. Life is not about the finish line (or so I keep reminding myself).
What I’m doing with my life
I try to be a little bit better version of myself, every day.

Making the most out of what I have - time, resources, opportunities, relationships.

Practicing being present, in every moment I remember to.
I’m really good at
problem solving, navel gazing, navigating the city, knitting, sewing, connections of all sorts, color combinations, listening, telling meandering, detailed stories
The first things people usually notice about me
Hair, smile, bust, in some order.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read mostly non-fiction (biographies, how to do or make various things, philosophy) and magical realism (Coelho, Gaiman)

I will give anything a listen but I come back to music that makes me think, reminds me to feel and/or moves my body. I feel close to people when they share music with me. David Bowie's body of work has had an influence on me.

I like to watch documentaries, some animated satire, and a number of hour long dramas.

Food is delicious.
The six things I could never do without

-Quiet time to myself. Necessary for my creativity - this is where I do my best work.

-Good friends - really getting to know people, and letting them know me. This is where I get my energy from.

-Yoga. I really tried to live without it. but I definitely died a bit inside. Turning that crazy train around.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-Music/math/pattern/philosophy/spirituality/love and how they are intertwined.

-How things are made. I still fondly remember the short film on [Sesame Street] [] where they show how crayons are made (with the most perfect soundtrack, btw)

-My breath. It helps me stay in the present more often than not.

-The future. This is at odds with staying in the moment sometimes, but it is, and always has been the drive in my life.

On a typical Friday night I am
Spending quality time with consenting adults
You should message me if
You live IN Chicago (606xx). I'm not intersted in long distance anything right now.

You'd like to go an an actual date. In person, outside of your bedroom.

You are inquiring on your own behalf, and not that of a couple. I'm not looking to be another couple's unicorn right now.
