/\/\/\ Does that work? A clip of me singing/playing guitar

Anyway...

My profile is best experienced when read out loud by Morgan Freeman.

If you're ready want to take it to the next level of the enhanced profile-reading experience, have "Got to give it up" by Marvin Gaye playing on in the background to set the mood. ...Go ahead, look it up on the internet (the album version, Justin Timberlake does a cover which is a safe alternative too)... It's ok, I'll wait. You've had a hard day browsing okcupid dating profiles, You're worth it. ...Don't fight the urge to dance, just go with it.

Now Let's Begin:

So you like "having fun" and "laughing" too?? ... we're both "down-to-earth" and "love to travel?" What ARE the chances?

My Birthday is August 16th. I didn't consider myself one year older until I saw it on my dating profile. That's when things got real.

After some serious self-discovery amidst my own personal journey, I've come to the conclusion that from now on I only date people that would serve to benefit me as part of my team for the Zombie Apocalypse. That's my litmus test. I can't have someone who's a straggler.. and I can't have an emotional attachment to anyone because I may have to put them down in the event they get attacked by a zombie and turn into a zombie themselves.

I've always thought that the same things I look for in someone are the same things I have myself, so here goes:

Huge sense of humor.. sarcastic, playful
Great at banter, clever exchanges, and substantive conversation.
Intelligent
Charismatic/Engaging/Outgoing Personality... the perfect mix of introverted and extroverted.
Has a practical and/or amusing skill or talent
Has a bit of an edge to keep things interesting
Knows who they and what they're looking for in life

If we can engage each others' mind and make each other laugh, we'll get along famously. And If you love to banter, pride yourself on your keen ability to have clever exchanges, substantive conversation.. and are also awesome.. we'll probably be best friends.

Here's some stuff about me: I work and live in Arlington (Crazy, right?)
I've lived in Europe and Asia. Traveled to 23 countries, and
road-tripped the US... which has lent itself to many adventures and
interesting stories best told over drinks.

I've played guitar for 15 years, and listen to and play a pretty broad
range of rock. I listen to an eclectic mix and also looking for new
bands to add to that list. I love live music.

So what are you waiting for? You should probably message me, right about... Now.
What I’m doing with my life
Unlocking the mysteries of the Universe.
I’m really good at
not remembering where I parked my car at the Fair Oaks Mall. There's two Macy's there. There should never be two Macy's anywhere. This was only created to drive people insane and think your car just might have been stolen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty approachable and have very blue eyes... which are sometimes not blue at all but green. It just depends on what I'm wearing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Foster the People, MGMT, The Naked and The Famous, Radiohead, Muse ...anything with a melody or hook...something that can grab you from the first listen forward.

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, High Fidelity, The Departed, Atonement, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist, The Last King Of Scotland, The Shawshank Redemption, Trainspotting, Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the Dead, Adventureland, I love you Man, Zombieland, Inglorious Basterds, 500 Days of Summer, Iron Man, Tropic Thunder

TV Shows: The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Spaced, Lost, Family Guy, 24, Six Feet Under, The Shield, The wire, The Office, Arrested Development, Dexter, Forensic Files, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The First 48, The League, Californication, The Soup. Tosh.0
The six things I could never do without
family, friends, music, my guitar, movies, any books by Chuck Palahniuk
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the Universe and why Pinkberry in Clarendon only "sometimes" stocks Caramel Frozen Yogurt, cause honestly, it's fucking delicious.
Get on that shit, Pinkberry. "I'm not mad. ....I'm just 'disappointed.'"
On a typical Friday night I am
Nationals or Capitals games. Depends on the season. My stomping ground is Arlington, so probably Clarendon. O'Sullivans on Thursdays!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I tried to teach myself conversational Russian my senior year of High School because I thought If I could learn to speak it, I could become a Spy.

On Career Day, I made a very compelling presentation in front of my Second Grade Class as to why i wanted to become a professional baseball player and a Dentist. A professional Major League Baseball playing Dentist. Even at a young age I was ambitious. I truly peaked at the age of 8. ...My life was been downhill ever since.
You should message me if
people other than you... would consider you awesome, and you are, in fact, awesome. You and me together would equal very awesome, and that formula appeals to you.

Or you just want to go on an adventure that hopefully involves us finding buried treasure.
