My self-summary
About me, I am an easy going person with a good outlook on life(inspite of this pitiful economy that has me barely getting by). I love to laugh and not take things as serious as I once did. Now, as a non drinker(who isn't bothered by those who do,responsibly)I find I actually have more fun and can remember it--ha,ha.
My Christian faith is very important to me.
There are many things I enjoy doing, but high on my list is reading. True life adventure and survival stories are my favorites, but also history.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to survive this economic downturn. I am in construction and have never had so many days off from work before. Taking Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University", currently at my home church. Wish I had taken it before getting caught in the credit card crunch!
I’m really good at
I am a pretty good artist, although it is just a pasttime hobby. Sketching and painting are my usual fare, and I love drawing with my young grandkids. They really love it too.
Also, I am very good with my hands and am a skilled craftsman when working with wood.
The first things people usually notice about me
Big green eyes and wavy hair I guess. Never asked anyone what they notice about me before!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
"Endurance" an account of Sir Ernest Shakelton's journey to Antartica in the early 1900's with 26 crewmen. They were stranded for two years on floating pack ice with temps reaching 70F below and 100mph winds.
I am an avid reader and enjoy true life survival stories, biographies, and the like.
Six things I could never do without
The Lord, love of my children, peanut butter crackers, whole wheat bread, low fat meals, sweet tea, good books, sports.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life. Why we were put on this Earth. The longer I live the more precious life is to me. When Christ conquered death, he really did take away the sting of death and victory of the grave.
On a typical Friday night I am
Gone to the local h.s. football game during the season.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a young son that my sister and brother in law are raising. I see him almost every day. He is precious to me.
You should message me if
You have a kind heart.
