My self-summary
We meet again OKC. Maybe the 8th time is the charm. ;-P

Chicago girl, living in Atlanta.

Hoping to meet some legit people, friends or otherwise. I'm career driven and professional but totally goofy and lighthearted. I love my job and work my butt off. I travel for work, so people with some sense of loyalty is always a plus. :) I am looking to widen my circle of friends and who knows, make have something successful off of OKC. I'm not closed off to the idea, but I am certainly not holding my breath.

You might see me outside of ATL as I travel the southeast. ATL>DC>MD>VA>TN>AL>NC>FL>PR

I love laughing in general- whether it be at myself; while others laugh at me, or just the simple formula of making others laugh. I used to do improv comedy in Chicago, and would love to do it in ATL, it's just really hard to find the time. I can be very outgoing, although at first meeting I might be uber nerdy, shy and/or giggly (refer to the most private thing I am willing to admit section)... but I warm up quickly! I get along with pretty much everyone and I enjoy a good time, no matter what it is: a museum, a movie or a concert or hitting up a local watering hole. So hit me up if you want to show me around or join me in taking on new ATL adventures.

I'm a short, curvy, eclectic, vivacious woman and I make no apologies for it. If that's not your thing, no big deal. But I love who I am inside and out. ;) you gotta rock what you got. As RuPaul says, "if you can't love yourself, then how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?"
What I’m doing with my life
I am lucky to say that I am in my dream job with Aveda- an environmental beauty care brand. I've been with the company almost 10 years and I am the regional education manager (I feel like Dwight Schrute saying this lol) for the southeast. I travel weekly as I'm overseeing 30 territory covers everywhere from Maryland/DC to Florida. In addition to working and traveling with Aveda, I do freelance makeup and (once upon a time) some plus-size modeling and I'd love to do that again (anybody need any plus-size models? lol). I loved when I was in an improv comedy group in Chicago and I would love to do that again here. The only problem is a) my schedule is crazy and b) I am shy when it comes to auditioning. I mean if you think about it, improv is a team sport but to get on a team its a solo audition...ugh my hands get clammy just thinking about it!!! I need to grow some bigger balls (metaphorically speaking).

Anyways, I will be playing that by ear. I like surrounding myself with quality people. And enjoy a night in just as much as a night out. I am excited for The Walking Dead to start, and can be found hanging with the buds watching it at the Local on Sunday nights.

I love movies, all sorts, comedy, horror, kids, you name it. Doesn't take much to convince me to go. Lol
I’m really good at
Being selfless (too much so at times...that is one of my greatest strengths & down falls) Making people laugh and feel good. Makeup, spending money on things I shouldn't, laughing, dancing like an idiot, making themed playlists, random knowledge that I didn't even know I possessed until the moment I answer a trivia question correctly, being happy regardless of what's going on around me and really, really politically incorrect asian nail lady accents.
The first things people usually notice about me
That's hard to say- could be a number of things: My glasses and/or eyes, my hair (I work in the beauty industry), my tattoos (I have a half sleeve and I'm working on my leg right now ) or my charming personality haha... I have also been told more times than I can count that I am much friendlier than I look...apparently I look "intimidating" or "mean" which is hilarious- because I am the hugest idiot and dork, a big goofy, dork.

The black ladies of Atlanta love my hair. Hahaha
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am pretty eclectic in my tastes. I'll try anything once.
I mean I didn't get this curvaceous shape eating celery sticks hahaha!

Food: I try and eat healthily, especially cuz I am on the road so much. But talking about salads isn't as much fun. So given the choice I lurv:

Pizza (typically NY style is a favorite)
Shrimp Pad Thai
Portillos (chicago hot dogs!)
Bread and Butter...sometimes simple can be sooo damn good

I don't read as much as I would like to, however, I just bought a book of Edgar Allan Poe's best stories, I am hoping to motivate myself with that. I have always loved Rohl Dahl and his children's novels. I always loved the whimsy. I love the feel and smell of new books. I love Catcher in the Rye, The Little Prince, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I like girly novels, whatever, I am a girl. I'm allowed. so lay off... :) I like being cultured, but I reserve the right to a mindless read every now and then.

Dexter, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Parks and Rec, Bob's Burgers, Game of Thrones, New Girl, Fringe, Face Off, Kitchen Nightmares, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office (UK and American), Little Britain, Arrested Development, No Reservations, Robot Chicken, and the list goes on and on.

Too Long to get into...
But basically it varies between two moods (as sighted below)

An upbeat mix of Haim, Kid Sister, Passion Pit, Little Boots, Datarock, Cut Copy, Men and Women, Professor Murder, Goldfrapp, The Black Ghosts, Black Kids, Brazilian Girls, Chromeo, American Teen, Fiest, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, Phoenix, Walter Meego, Florence + the Machine, The XX, Sia, The Detroit Cobras, Miike Snow, Calvin Harris, Miami Horror, Foster the People, Kimbra, Deee-Lite (oh hells yea), La Roux, Pharrell, NFG, Reggie and the Full Effect, Ellie Goulding, Operator Please, Two Door Cinema Club, Walk the Moon, MSTRKRFT and Santo Gold

And a chill mix- now that its fall I'm really starting to get back into what I like to call "makeout music" hahaha. I don't have to be making out with someone when I listen to it- but that's what this sort of music makes me think of:

Milo Greene, The Head and the Heart, American Analog Set, Band of Horses, Death cab, As Tall As Lions, Phoenix, Coldplay (their earlier stuff), Grizzly Bear, Mayer Hawthorne, Temper Trap, Walk the Moon, Leagues, Kings of Convenience, Daugher, Damien Rice, Badly Drawn Boy, Jose Gonzalez, Sia...and so on and so forth.
Six things I could never do without
Music, makeup (it's not a vanity thing, its a creative outlet for me), brightly colored sneakers (I am up to 85 pairs-just bought an amazing pair of limited edition Star Wars Vans and I'm in love with them), laughter, my friends/family, and my wiener dog, Pierre.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why can't I find a good Bloody Mary in ATL?

Which one of my 28 cats will eat my face...which neighbor will find my body. Jk no cats or plans for dying anytime soon.
On a typical Friday night I am
Decompressing from a long work week- relaxing at home, dancing my cares away, going to a fun bar or restaurant, going to a show, or seeing a movie (I LOVE MOVIES!).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have two 1) I'm REALLY bad at accepting compliments, but still love to get them. 2) I have a great discomfort with public bathrooms (and I travel for work :( )
You should message me if
If you are interested and interesting. If you want to be friends and/or If you prefer serious relationships to "casual"dating. If you're not a Shady McShaderton. If you want to be with someone who is goofy and girly all at the same time. If you appreciate genuine over generic and mega nerd-dom...ifyou want something more than norm.
