"Nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself LOVE it. When people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff,’ which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.”
I sing opera, I go adventuring in nature, I love travelling and road trips, and I spend most of my time learning things. My favorite website is Wikipedia. If I come across something that I haven't heard of or don't understand, I look it up and read about it, from both sides if there are sides. My favorite things to do with significant others are travel, sight see, and watch our favorite movies or shows while drinking wine and eating cheese and crackers and chocolate.
I don't know that I'm "really" good at anything, but the stuff I'm somewhat known for includes:
Singing, Acting, Composing, designing workout routines, drawing up nutrition plans, recording-mixing-editing audio/music, crazy voices, scientific thinking, finding giant trees, Writing, researching.....
Most people would describe me as nice, nerdy, and opinionated.
The Fault in Our Stars, Hyperion Cantos, Ender's Game, Wyrms, Wheel of Time, The Wild Trees, TED Talks, Primer, Inception, Airplane, Walk Hard, Game of Thrones, Futurama, Venture Bros., pizza, Chinese, Mexican (only in San Diego though).... I like movies a lot, and it's hard to think of specific ones I like more than others. I enjoyed the King's Speech, but didn't think it should have won best picture.
Did I mention I love Opera? I love Opera.
Music (singing specifically)
Exercise and nutrition science
The Pursuit of Knowledge
Adventure (mostly old growth forests, and climbing giant trees)
Update: In rehearsal.

Update Again: Back in rehearsals! (rinse, repeat...)
...taking you out to the opera!
