My self-summary
First of all, I'd like to say that I'm wearing a shirt in all of my profile pictures. Also, I don't own any Ed Hardy or Affliction merchandise.

I am interested in the arts, I love animals, I like hikes, I like reading, I'm a good listener, and I thoroughly enjoy a wide variety of music and movies. I love embarking on adventures, sitting at home watching movies, playing video games, going to the beach/pool, anything along the spectrum of "rip-roaring" to "takin' her easy." I sing in the car (and drum, and occassionally air guitar).

If I message you, it will be wittier than "Hello :)" or "You seem cool." In exchange, I expect a response that is witter than ignoring me. I am down-to-earth, intelligent, I have a great sense of humor (an inoffendable one at that!), and I know that "inoffendable" is not a word but I wrote it anyway because I knew you'd know what I meant.

I type in complete sentences, use complete words (never "ur" or "2" in place of "to"), and I know the difference between "you're" and "your". (In fact, my only bad habit is that I have too many comma-heavy run-on lists, which is okay because being a high and mighty grammar nazi is not attractive. There, I said it).

I am fun, witty and I try to remain positive and exciting as much as possible. I fly by the seat of my proverbial pants. I'm easy to get along with, and I have no intentions of putting any sort of pressure on you.

In short, I'm awesome.
There. Now you have no excuse to not meet me.

I am upwardly volatile, party-primed, and rad-venturous
What I’m doing with my life
Making lots of music!
Listening to lots of music
Watching lots of movies!
Talking endlessly about stuff and junk.

I have a steady job too, if that does anything for you. I work in post-production on some (MadLib your own adjective here) TV shows.

(On the backburner):
Building effects pedals for my guitar.
Circuit bending.
Making sketch comedy videos/cartoons.
Filling out and re-filling out this profile. Kind of like Sisyphus.
I’m really good at
Wordplay, bad puns, crosswords. Also, I'm severiously good at portmanteaus.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am kind of tall, I dress comfortably, and I laugh a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm really into this sort of stuff, so be warned, tl;dr...

Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Lexicon Devil, Under the Black Flag, Catcher in the Rye, Grayson, The Sea Wolf, Cosmos, most things by Kurt Vonnegut, and A Clockwork Orange. I am also a fan of certain graphic novels, such as The Push Man, The Akira graphic novels, The works of Daniel Clowes, and Y the Last Man.

Movies: Ghost World, Terminator 2, Aliens, Akira, The Life Aquatic, UHF, The Orphanage, Dangerous Men, Hausu, Wet Hot American Summer, The Big Lebowski, Ichi The Killer, Oldboy, Idiocracy, Dead Alive, The Evil Dead Triolgy, The Dark Knight, The Conversation, Battle Royale, 70's-80's Exploitation in general, Story of Ricky, Ghost in the Shell, Friday the 13th (parts 1-8), ugh... there are so many more, but this is getting long. Most movies that are well-executed, thought-provoking, relatable, hilarious, or fascinatingly inept.

Might as well throw in TV shows because those are like little movies: Arrested Development, Flight of the Conchords, Futurama, The Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, Tim & Eric, Delocated, Archer, The State, Kids in the Hall, Cowboy Bebop, The Office, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Home Movies.

As music goes, I am sincerely interested in just about everything but I'm mostly into punk and metal. (I totally had to resist the urge to type "ONLY country and rap... I'm all alone in the world").

When I say punk, I mean of course: The Descendents, The Damned, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Void, Bad Brains, Screeching Weasel, Articles of Faith... There's a lot more, but I don't want to nerd out too hard on this. Which I could. But you don't care. Why the hell am I writing any of this?

When I say metal, I mean: At The Gates, Wolves in the Throne Room, Darkthrone, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Sleep, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Dragonforce, Sunn O))), The Sword.

And since I'm "not fucking living in a trailer camp just listening to Anthrax," here's some other stuff I like: DEVO, Lightning Bolt, The Hold Steady, The Murder City Devils, Neutral Milk Hotel, Johnny Cash, X-Ray Specs, David Bowie, Chromeo, Dick Dale, The Ventures, Guitar Wolf, Cat Power, Jolie Holland, Mirah, Queen, Journey, AC/DC, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Thelonius Monk, The Bad Plus, Mount Eerie, Sleater-Kinney, Melt Banana, and Andrew WK (very unironically).

There's a lot more. I bet if you're into it, I like it or something similar to it.

I'm a big fan of food! I consider it an art form.
An art form that goes into my mouth.
The six things I could never do without
1. Friends that make you laugh until you can't breathe.

2. Music that makes you want to go fucking crazy!

3. Food that makes you eat until you can't see straight.

4. Movies that make you say "holy fucking shit!" out loud.

5. Taking long walks at night. You know, for introspection and shit.

6. Any and all activity that blows off energy, makes me feel young, and reaffirms my endless will to have a good time!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Space. Music I want to make. Movies I wished I had lived in. Bad jokes and puns. Why the hell I didn't bring my damn camera! Which buildings I could get on the roofs of.

[Warning: There are no jokes in the following paragraph]
I spend a great deal of time walking around at night letting my mind wander. Topics that my mind often chews on are events in my life, my future plans, art that I've enjoyed/hated, human nature, morality, architecture, and lyrics for new songs.
[See? No jokes. Totally boring]
On a typical Friday night I am
Waiting for you to come over and drink moderately classy whiskey and play video games with me. That is, unless there is a really good show. Or perhaps I'm just sitting on top of a hill looking down at the city. Or maybe I'm playing music with my friends.

Please note two things:
1. I typically have no idea what I'm doing on Friday night until Friday night is upon me.
2. I always have a great time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm way too cool to admit things.
You should message me if
A) I emailed you. (Don't be afraid. Nothing bad will happen).
B) For any other reason.

...You didn't actually read all that, did you?
