My self-summary
First & foremost I consider myself an environmentalist. I take recycling to extremes. I have a great love for all animals. I grew up with a dog, a cat, multiple fish, lizards, & hermit crabs.

I love nature. I feel most at home in the wilderness. I regularly go biking, hiking, swimming, & camping. I am one of those crazy people you see on their bike in the warmer months biking in traffic! Does this means I'm a little bit crazy? Probably!
I love to learn, which means I usually am curled up with a book. I do not watch TV, all those advertisements will rot your brain! ...but I do love Netflix. I'm not very enthusiastic when it comes to sports, but I do enjoy the Olympics.

I am a bleeding heart liberal, as such I am both pro-choice and pro-life. Last election was the first time I did not vote, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because we got creamed. I am a proponent of solar power & renewable energy. As such solar power in my career path.

My personality is sarcastic and carefree, but I tend to be softspoken initially. I would much prefer intellectual conversation over gossip. I seldom drink, but I do like beer & wine.

I am a nerd. I like animé, manga, and sci-fi. The natural world fascinates me. I enjoy local restaurants, never chains... although Chipotle is really tasty.

For those who care, my personality type is ISTJ.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to the greater Charlotte, NC area last May. I go hiking virtually every weekend.
I’m really good at
Fixing things around the house that most people will pay to get fixed.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes & my stylish Tilley hat!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Noah & The Whale, Angus & Julia Stone, The Hellcasters, & anything considered classic rock or blues. I do listen to The Current quite a bit, or MPR.

Movies: Kung Fu Hustle, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction (I love Quinton Terentino films!), documentaries (but I have to be in the right mood), The Hangover, I will watch a romantic comedy now & then but I don't usually seek them out.

Books: White Oleander (I read this before it was a movie), Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Memoirs of a Geisha , & The Glass Castle. During the school year for recreation I mostly read periodicals... Discover Magazine, Solar Today, & Make magazine.

Food: Anything that isn't fried, which is to say I am health conscious. I do love spicy food, Thai & Mexican are great!
