My self-summary
"There are people. There are stories. The people think they shape the stories, but the reverse is often closer to the truth." - Alan Moore

I love always absorbing new information. I avidly enjoy listening to history podcasts, going down the Wikipedia rabbit hole, and watching random documentaries to learn as much about as many things as possible. I play a lot of history-based games like Civilization and Europa Universalis and love using them as a jumping-point for learning more. So basically if you're on here not for dating but just to find a pub trivia partner, I'm your man.

I love discovering new films (Netflix and Doug Loves Movies were made for me) and new music (college radio alum!), playing instruments, and tabletop boardgaming. I'm pretty into sports and every Kennedy ever.
What I’m doing with my life
Putting my bachelor's degree in government & politics to good use working in DC... at a concert venue/promoter. Drive around the metro and hate all other drivers, buy strange food requests, sell merch. I really love music and being involved with the production of concerts.
I’m really good at
... being more productive when busier, quickly organizing and planning, instantly summoning useless trivia, coming up with mixtapes, making apple sauce from scratch, sending postcards from obscure locations, creating (horribly punny) neologisms, and using the Oxford comma.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think a lot about a lot of things. If you hang around me long enough, you'll hear random musings like:

- Did studying Mandarin for two years help me better understand Firefly?
- Did Zach Braff make Garden State just as an excuse to release his mixtape to the masses?
- Would the NSA employee reading my profile and Google search history be interested in drinks this Saturday night?
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at work at a concert
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Thomas Mars asked me for my phone number.

Lafayette is my historical man crush.
You should message me if
If you're in the Baltimore/Washington area and would like to talk and meet up or form a team for the Amazing Race.
