I have been focusing on getting back into shape and eating better these days so I'm in the gym a lot and also very careful about when and what I eat. I like thinknig about the science behind the lifts I'm doing, which muscles are being worked, and how to more efficently exercise. Am I a gym nerd?
I love to read and I'm always in the middle of four or five books at any point. I don't have problems finishing books. My issue is I get too excited about a new book and start one before I finish the last one. I currently reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.
When it comes to movies I like all the standards (Godfather, Star Wars, etc.) and have no problems watching Rom-Coms. I love watching documentaries and recently have been watching The History of Maths on Netflix. I prefer watching movies at home as I get annoyed that movie theaters don't have pause buttons and allow my fellow movie goers to remain ungagged.
I don't keep up with too many TV shows religiously. I cut the cable cord about a year ago so I'm usually behind on things. I like shows like Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers, Archer, and South Park. Just dawned on me that those are all cartoons. I assure you I am, in fact, a grown man. I have a mortgage, dammit. That's very grown.
My musical tastes are all over the map but mostly center around heavy metal with an emphasis on the progressive metal sub-genre. I also listen to soul, Motown, and some southern rock. I avoid pop and country as if I were to contract some flesh eating disease were I to listen to the likes of Katy Perry or whomever is big in country right now. I am blissfully ignorant.
I love food and I'm the kind of guy that will eat something and then ask what it was. Exploring new restaurants is always a lot of fun. I love to cook for friends and family.
