My self-summary
It seems that no matter what I say in this description, I sound just like everyone else and that just doesn't do me (or anyone) justice. You'll have to get to know me to find out if my assessment is accurate. Things about me that are true: I love to smile and am never stingy with them. The simple things in life can make my day, but so can creating a little trouble and a thousand other things - a great conversation, cycling in central park, spending the day curled up with a book... I have been through tough times and like to think I've gained some wisdom from it, but I suspect I've still got a lot to learn. I'm well educated and enjoy my career, but my family is my top priority, though I don't express the sentiment by prioritizing my time accordingly (my grandma still leaves hilarious nagging messages). There's a lot more, but hopefully that's enough of the good, the bad and the honest to make this page more than about my pictures.

If you are easily intimidated by smart, sassy, independent women, look elsewhere. If you are still reading and also like playful, caring, sweet women, feel free to get in touch with me.
What I’m doing with my life
I spend my days focused on my career. I work for a hedgefund but I left the investment side of the business a few years ago and now do general management work for the CEO.

What I'm doing with my life? Now that's a huge question that I'm not sure I've totally answered, but I think that's the interesting part, no?
I’m really good at
Spacial relations - helpful in a NY apartment, otherwise not so useful.

Napa - I plan a mean trip in a short-time.

Making noodle kugel
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile a lot and it's a pretty good one, I like to be silly, and I've got a serious mind and I like to use it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: To Kill a Mocking Bird, A Separate Peace, Fountain Head, Just Kids, Ender's Game/Ender's Shadow and all things Harry Potter (but only the books).

Movies: Usual Suspects, Good Will Hunting, Monster's Inc, Pride and Prejudice (like the book too), Animal House, Pulp Fiction, the Godfather, Citizen Cane, The Silence of the Lambs, Shaw Shank
Six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
1. With some degree of indifference between them: my laptop/iphone/ipad with an internet connection (hmm, the internet connection might be the thing I care about here...)
2. My closest friends/family
3. A good story, whether it is in book, movie, or audio form
4. Great food and wine
5. Seasons. I really love each of them and then I'm ready for the next one.
6. My home/bed. It's a work of art really. A slice of heaven on earth.
7. (because really, are you going to stop me?) traveling
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If I admit it, it isn't private anymore.
You should message me if
You fit this picture -- I want a partner-in-crime: someone to go on adventures / trips, try new things, be silly/laugh with....someone with whom I can talk for hours and never get bored, but also have comfortable silence. A good person, kind, funny, and with ambition, but I don't really have a laundry list or a check box. I just want someone where we mutually add to each others lives and have a good time together.

Also, I'm looking for a member of "The Tribe," a.k.a. someone Jewish.
