My self-summary
I'm an editor-in-chief, bartender and singer/songwriter living in Brooklyn (isn't that always the story?). I graduated from NYU in 2008 with a BA in Journalism and Music and am now running a small online magazine. I grew up in a small town in WV (Fairmont) and wound up staying in NYC after school because I always wanted to come eventually, anyway.

I'm a total geek and an all-around average guy. I'm not too deep or philosophical. I don't read much or watch deep movies. I have no "scene" and don't use the word "queer," as I don't feel strange or different (totally cool if you identify as queer--it's just not me). I'm not obsessed with my appearance. I'm mostly just laid-back and fun/carefree. It's sad that in the gay world we have to specify that we're "drama-free," but so be it. I'm drama-free and also lean towards the masculine side. Oh, and gay bars are THE WORST.

I may not be "fit," but I'm in good shape with a slight beer belly (comes with the bartending territory). It's not going anywhere anytime soon, but I don't think I'm by any means unattractive because of it.

That being said, I like beer.

Hide your kids.

Hide your wife.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm the Editor-in-Chief of an online magazine called I also bartend and would like to do that full time. I am also trying to write songs on the side and record in my free time (that's not really working)...

That being said, I'm broke. Any sugar daddies out there? ... ?
I’m really good at
Long-winded emails, Writing, Pouring Drinks, Drinking, Talking, Being Random, Sleeping, Snuggling, Your Mom
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm scruffy. I like to drink a lot. I'm nice... odd... maybe a bit crazy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and anything Joss Whedon does (like Dollhouse). Gave Ringer a decent chance, but it's sadly gone. Just got into Doctor Who and am really into Once Upon a Time, Archer and Bob's Burgers.

Love music like Kate Havnevik, Ingrid Michaelson, Natalie Imbruglia, Alanis Morissette, Sia, Janelle Monáe, Brazilian Girls and Imogen Heap, as well as classic rock like the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. I also like to rock out to Bif Naked. If I listen to modern pop, it's probably only Robyn, though my new favorite discovery is Kimbra...

Top Movies include Stigmata, Dogma, Labyrinth, Nightmare Before Christmas, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Star Wars (the original trilogy, not the new crap), Return to Oz, 10 Things I Hate About You, D.E.B.S.... just to name a few. Recently became obsessed with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind thanks to a trip to Montauk with my friend Jenn... she made go in February and made me watch the movie on the way up so I would understand the reason behind the adventure.

Books: Not many, but Tom Robbins is pretty damn amazing! Also anything Chelsea Handler. Also, the Hunger Games trilogy--OMG.

Food: BURRITOS!!! And Hot Dogs!! Also Spaghetti! Don't forget Buffalo Wings! And salads. And I'm pretty much willing to try anything. FOOD ROCKS.

I also love Norway. No particular reason. :)

I'll still love you if you're a vegetarian, as long as you don't judge me. I like my meat (insert penis joke here)!
Six things I could never do without
Spicy Food (hot sauce Burrito, jalepenos--there's an inside joke)
Sex. Yes, I said sex. I'm not a prude...

(Family and friends are implied, by the way.)

Yeah there are 7. I couldn't choose!
I spend a lot of time thinking about I need to get on the ball with this music career thing.

Also thinking about how I really need more free time...

Also thinking about ideas for songs and stories and TV shows that seem to never happen...

Also wondering why there are so many hipsters...

Also thinking about your mom...
On a typical Friday night I am
Currently bartending in Manhattan. If not, chances are, I'm drinking around the Williamsburg area or with with friends in Brooklyn or (rarely) Manhattan, sometimes finding random parties. Never gay bars, though... usually neighborhood bars, and generally (hopefully) ones that aren't too ridiculous or expensive.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Nothing is really private for me, which sometimes can get me in trouble--but I'm all about honesty and owning up to my actions. You only live (or at least only remember living) once, so why hide?

Also, if my beard/mustache grows too long, I chew on the hairs... That's a sign to trim. And maybe a little gross...

Also, I'm stubborn--to the point that when I was a kid, I swore I'd bring my teddy bear and baby blanket to college. I'm now 28 (29 by November 19), and guess what's still on my bed? Yep.
You should message me if
you want to know more. And if you made it this far... I wrote a lot! I'll probably talk for hours about my geeky TV and musical obsessions, but hopefully you can do the same. :)
