My self-summary
::Updated:: I found some one that I'm super happy with. This is up until we've worked through all the answered questions #=#=#

I'm in Austin for my PhD in Chemical Engineering - my research actually has very little to do with my field.

I'm a people person - I enjoy conversation and analyzing decisions. The pursuit of knowledge and understanding is very important to me - but I think its mainly because I get very bored otherwise. I devour newsfeeds, webcomics, and the internet.

I've been in the process of living a much healthier lifestyle - I weightlift 3-4 times / week and track macros.
What I’m doing with my life
PhD Chemical Engineering - actually work more with extremely large calculations on the largest computers in the world.

Probably wind up either founding or working at a startup after this PhD is done… but not really set on any one thing other than being able to afford a comfortable lifestyle for a family.
I’m really good at
Teaching. Listening. Analyzing. Caring.
Getting my sleep schedule out of whack.
The first things people usually notice about me
Expressive personality - this extends to my eyes, smile, wild hand gestures, word choice, smiles, etc.
In most cases that you'd encounter me in the wild, I'd either have headphones on or a drink in my hand.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
All recent answers:
Books - The Whisperer In Darkness, Red Rising, A Song of Ice and Fire series
Movies - I enjoy them enough to have a tiered seating living room for a pseudo-home theatre.
TV Shows - Archer, The Walking Dead, Man Seeking Woman, Game of Thrones, Sword Art Online II || Breaking Bad, Jericho, Band of Brothers, The Wire
Music - I'm honestly easy to please. Very mood dependent. My pandora station cycles between modern classical and edm when I'm working.
Food - yes. Make it flavorful and / or spicy. At this point in life, I eat a lot of protein… and cook almost everyday.
Six things I could never do without
Family and friends
My cat, Tai (really consider him as part of the above group)
My computers
Speedy internet is almost a requirement nowadays
Literary materials
Enough social interaction
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- How to speed up my PhD
- Can I eat this today?
- Why is Tai yowling now?
On a typical Friday night I am
I've been hosting a weekly film gathering where we've been going through the best scifi movies. So far, we've gone through Alien, Aliens, Blade Runner, and Serenity. Friday is generally a movie night for me.

I also tend to drive to see friends and family in Houston or Dallas. Just depends on impetus.
You should message me if
... you feel so inclined. I guarantee at least a response with as much effort as you put into the original message - so don't be shy :-)
