My self-summary
I am reinventing this profile, and reinventing myself. I like doing that from time to time.

I have lived many places and recently moved to the Tulsa area, to do a long-term contact for American Airlines out at the airport where they have a maintenance facility for their airplanes. I'll be doing my usual data warehousing and business intelligence thing: identifying and increasing quality in processes, helping with government regulatory issues, and anything else that helps improve quality of their data.

I'm a Thinker-Technical_Architect-romantic-foodie. I love to laugh, travel, eat, work, watch Sci-Fi and Chick flicks. Give me a good film noir and I'm in heaven. I am a visionary Information Architect and I am a master of my profession. I have an incredibly broad palette for both food and entertainment.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm looking for fun and entertainment. I work all day and have nothing to do each night. I need a good dinner partner: a good conversationalist with interesting things to say. I also need things to do on the weekends that I am here. I love movies & TV and I have a huge library of 4,500 movies and 17,000 TV episodes that I keep with me. Thank heavens for big disk drives (9TB and growing) so I don't have to carry my DVD collection around with me.

Just so I don't appear like a couch potato: I love to go dancing, especially foxtrot and tango.

I'm into energy work, and I am a certified attunement practitioner.
I’m really good at
Envisioning possible futures...
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my laugh, my intellect
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am adventurous with food and have a traveler's stomach: I'll eat anything as long as it is prepared well; this means that food choices will usually be left up to you.

Movies & TV: love Scifi and fantasy with a good story (Trek, Potter, LOTR, Farscape, etc) Obscure British Scifi (Red Dwarf, Doctor Who, Blake's 7, Tripods, Misfits, City beneath the sea, etc) Mass market comedy (Frasier, Friends, 3rd Rock, 30 Rock, Hot in Cleveland, Dick Van Dyke, etc) Stuff I learn from (West Wing, Nova, Frontline, etc). Favorites: Forbidden Planet, 3 hr version of Metropolis, recent version of Blade Runner, Star Trek, Potter Series. Guilty pleasures: Galaxy Quest, Fifth Element, Yes Man, Dexter.

Music: I have a very broad set of tastes (much of it from the 70's when I was in High School): Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Zeppelin, Zappa, Disco (it's such happy music), Tavares; oldies from the 50's and 60's that my family listened to: Darrin, Dean Martin, Sinatra, Sonny & Cher, Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown; Jazz as I became more sophisticated: Puente, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Chet Baker, the Duke) and then the big bands & swing: Goodman, Miller, Dizzie Gillespie.... Can you keep up?
The six things I could never do without
1) My daughters
2) Something that I do that makes a contribution to making peoples lives better
3) Other people providing entertainment (writers, producers, creators)
4) People working together as a team
5) Men's work (see www.mkp.org if you want more information)
6) Everybody sing: Food, Glorious food.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Ohhhhh soooo many things - it's hard to turn my mind off at the end of a day (I think that's what I use Movies & TV for).
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually available and looking for something to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been involved in men's work for 25 years and am very open and secure. Care to ask some daring questions?

That being said, emotionally, I am a very stable and powerful man with a wonderful sense of calmness.

I love to hug. My best hugs always include a deep breath and a relaxing sigh. My litmus test for my first meeting with people will be that I ask for a hug at the beginning (when we first meet), and depending on how that goes I can usually predict how the rest of the encounter will be.
You should message me if
You're interested in an adventure, and my profile interests you. Also, I like seeing a smile, so a happy lady is desired.

If you like being hugged and cuddled, please message me. I have an abundance of wonderful hugs available for you.

I am extremely spiritual, but not religious - if God and your church are the only center for your life, don't respond please. No, thank you.

Please do not message me if you are trying to convert me - it is a waste of my time, and it'll just piss me off: After a six week trial that spanned twenty-one days and included countless hours of detailed expert witness presentation, a federal judge ruled that Intelligent Design is "an interesting theological argument" but is not science for many reasons. Until this is overturned in the courts, I don't want to ruin a wonderful evening delving into this topic.

All that being said, I am a very firm believer in the value of religion in peoples lives. I know for a fact that organized religion is a very positive force in society.

I respect all peoples beliefs, and I just want my beliefs respected too (that was the point of my rant above: not to say that I am anti-religion; I am anti-disrespect).
