My self-summary
I enjoy watching Jeopardy with my buddies, spending entire afternoons reading in coffee shops, and surfing youtube for TED talks that make me want to be a better human being.

Other fun facts:
-I was born at 9:11pm on 9/11/84
-I've been known to play Egyptian Ratscrew for hours at a time
-I am related to George Washington
What I’m doing with my life
I guess I'm chipping away at Maslow's hierarchy of needs one detail at a time. Teaching yoga furthers this process pretty steadily, as does my job selling real estate.
I’m really good at
Teaching yoga, making eggs, listening, making peacocks out of dollar bills. But they look more like turkeys than peacocks. And more like crinkled dollar bills than turkeys.
The first things people usually notice about me
"Oh my god is that Eric from True Blood?!"

People don't really say that. But someone did tell me I looked like him once and the ego boost lasted a solid week.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anne Rice, The Pillars of the Earth, A New Earth, Harry Potter, David Sedaris, The Alchemist, young adult novels about gay teens.

Christmas Movies (because they deserve their own category): The Family Stone, Home for the Holidays, The Snowman, The Holiday, Love Actually

Other Movies: Benny and June, Lord of the Rings, Under the Tuscan Sun, Clueless, The Shawshank Redemption, Fried Green Tomatoes

Shows: House Hunters International, True Blood, Game of Thrones, Sex and the City (don't hate), So You Think You Can Dance

Music: Tori Amos, Ben Folds, Stephen Sondheim, Charlotte Martin, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Jonsi, Lucius, Muse, Disney, anything that makes me nostalgic for my 90's childhood.

Food: Grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato on rye, ranch dressing. Which really goes well with my gluten and dairy free lifestyle.
Six things I could never do without
For some reason I really don't like this question. Iced coffee, I guess. And music. The right hemisphere of my brain. That'll do.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever book I'm reading
On a typical Friday night I am
No such thing as a typical Friday night. But some options include taking a yoga class, soothing my tired yoga teacher muscles in the tub, movie night with friends, playing cribbage with a glass of wine and a view, heading up to Whidbey island to visit my pop, wailing some showtunes at Rock Box, seeing a bad movie alone that I'm embarrasssed to admit wanting to see.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a member of the Power Rangers fan club.
You should message me if
You enjoy havarti cheese as much as I do. Or if you can give me the names of all 5 of the original Power Rangers. I'll give you a hint. Tommy doesn't count. The green ranger was originally created by Rita Repulsa to defeat the original 5, but once they were able to break the evil spell she'd cast on him they adopted him as the 6th ranger. Duh.
