My self-summary
It’s kind of hard to sum me up except to say I’m a bit of contradiction! Growing up my friends would say I’m someone that wants to save the world but really enjoy life while doing it. I’ve traveled through Africa studying infectious disease systems but also love (okay need) nice hotels, spa days, and own a pair or two of Tory’s (you probably don’t know what that is, ask your sister).

I’m a health nut and a wino – you are just as likely to find me drinking a green smoothie after a run as you are to find me tasting craft brew or a glass of Pinot.

I’m a digital nomad/business owner and see an unconventional life with lots of travel ahead of me (30 countries and counting). I love to cook and am a self-proclaimed foodie but also sometimes will make the same boring variation on dinner 4x in a row. I’m weirdly obsessed with the CIA and spy shows but my kindle is full of business or wellness books. I love spending Saturday morning running on the Lake and Sunday morning being super lazy.

I’ve traveled a ton but some of my happiest times are home with family and friends. I’m a giver at heart and love surprising people, I probably get more fun out of planning a surprise than the receiver in getting it! Life is all about balance and I try my best at it. The one thing I haven’t found yet is my best friend to share it with!
What I’m doing with my life
After about 1.5 year abroad, I settled in Chicago in early 2015 and am loving it! It's nice to have a home base again and explore all this city has to offer!
I’m really good at
Planning (anything, a trip, a dinner out, a party)
Being on time
Picking a bottle of wine (and drinking it)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I usually read non-fiction or stuff recommended by friends. I finally broke down and am now reading the entire Harry Potter series. Others I have loved, Shantarum, Gone Girl, the Alchemist.

Movies/Shows: I'm pretty open to films, hard to list favorites! Shows: Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Criminal Minds - you know, all the happy shows.

Music: A wide variety. For running (don't judge), I have Katy Perry and Lady Gaga or whatever horrible pop I hear around! But I like Mumford and Sons, Ray LaMontagne, New Pornographers, Postal Service (must credit friends with expanding my horizons).

Food: Love to cook (although don't mistake this for actually being a good cook). I'm not a picky eater but am a healthy one, I love asian, a good (grassfed) steak (my dad makes the best by far), green smoothies in the AM.
Six things I could never do without
My people
Being outside
Bubble baths
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do with my life, whether it's tonight or ten years from now...
The next place I want to travel and how I'm going to get there...
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying a new restaurant or bar, or happily cooking dinner and watching a movie
You should message me if
It seems like we would get along! Pluses if you like to cook, travel, and a bit of adventure.
