My self-summary
Hi, I'm Lindsey. So, where to begin?
What I’m doing with my life
I did my undergrad at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I have a B.S. in Communications. I've just started postgrad at Edinburgh Napier University. I have been in Edinburgh for around 3 weeks so far, and I really like it. I'm still settling in and finding my way around. It would be great to make some new friends to hang out with.

Just to get things started, I'm into:
art
writing
drawing
photography
reading (fantasy, thrillers, the classics)
music
movies
tv
tennis
I’m really good at
Art and being creative. I spend a lot of time drawing, digital editing (Photoshop and things like that), photography, etc.
The first things people usually notice about me
How quiet I am probably. I'm more of a listener and observer.

Also, my eyes. They're a really deep blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I read a lot, which is probably typical of someone going into the publishing field. I tend to like fantasy, sci-fi, and classics (such as Jane Austen). I'm also fond of good horror like The Woman in Black or Phantoms by Dean Koontz. Feel free to five me any suggestions - or to ask for some!

Movies: Too many to list. The last movie I saw in theatres was Fast and Furious 6. The last movie I watched at home was Sinister. I like horror, thrillers, fantasy, quirky "indie" flicks, and even rom-coms. I'm a sucker for 90s teen romantic comedies like She's All That.

Shows: Suits, Doctor Who, Orphan Black, Once Upon a Time, Criminal Minds, Primeval: New Worlds
[and shows that aren't on anymore]: Merlin, Primeval, Being Human, Eureka, The X-Files, My So-Called Life, Freaks and Geeks, Greek, House, The IT Crowd, Fawlty Towers, Miranda

Music: Not to sound cliche, but pretty much everything except rap and country for the most part. I tend towards alternative rock, but I also like pop, jazz, big band, classical, instrumental... Right now I'm really into Bastille (going to see them on the 30th!). Other bands I like include Aqualung, Linkin Park, Alphabeat, Chevelle, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Eric Hutchinson, among others.
The six things I could never do without
Friends/Family
A good cup of tea (Earl Grey or English Breakfast please!)
My cats
My laptop
My ipod - not even just because I like music, but noise (people talking, tapping, clocks ticking, etc) drives me nuts. I need some sort of background noise playing
A good book
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lots of things... whatever has sparked my interest at the time.

Being interested in photography, I feel as though I often view things through a lens. I often find myself wondering why I don't have an adequate camera with me so I could capture the way the light is hitting something or how the leaves look against the stormy sky. I'm often thinking about some project I'm working on with photoshop and thinking of new things I could be making. I'm not much a of a writer.. or at least I don't think so, but I'm often thinking of stories and things.

I also spend a lot of time thinking about the latest movie I saw or tv show I watched or song that's stuck in my head.

I find that when someone mentions a particular thing I'll think of something else and then that thing will make me think of another thing.... and so on and so forth. This is probably why at any given time I have at least ten tabs open and multiple windows open on my computer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, or staying home with the family.
Or I might be at the movies if there's anything good playing.
You should message me if
You're looking for new friends or just want to chat about common interests. I'm not necessarily looking for dating (and I am definitely not looking for a "hook-up").

Also, if I happen to visit your profile and don't send a message it doesn't mean I didn't think you were cool/interesting. It's probably just me being shy or I thought you seemed 'out of my league' so to speak.
