My self-summary
I am friendly, funny and voted most likely to trip over an ottoman upon entering any household. Originally from Michigan, I moved to the East Coast 7 years ago to pursue a career as a professional opera singer. I've since moved on to a new career as a Social Media Strategist (Don't be scared! - this just means I write a lot of copy and make lots of awesome images and graphics! I believe in life outside of Facebook and have successfully completed many conversations while looking people in the eye as opposed to at my phone.)

I don't sing professionally anymore, but I do still get up onstage with my musical improv team. If you ever wanted to date a girl who could improvise a song about peanut butter on the spot - well then, you sir, have met your match.

Whether I'm riding horses, surfing or just taking a walk somewhere - I'm still a Michigan girl at heart and love to be outside. My general sunny disposition and desire to believe that most people are actually not terrible is also a relic of my Michigan upbringing.
What I’m doing with my life
Musical Improv, riding horses, surfing oceans, Social Media Managing, doodling on napkins.
I’m really good at
Entertaining myself and others, running a really slow mile, painting oil pastel landscapes, making unflattering sketches of people on the subway ( not deliberately - I blame the line work on the rough ride of the F line -, staring off into space while getting lost in my own thoughts, jumping things on horseback, surfing the Rockaways, cooking a damn good meal. I've also got a powerhouse cross and a pretty nice switch kick in my Muay Thai classes - don't tell me you didn't like dinner or I'll sweep you:)
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably that I'm tall, let's be honest here. Beyond that, probably that I'm open and talkative.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love books that seem like fictional, crazy, impossible stories and which are actually non-fiction (If you get nothing else from reading my profile, please take my suggestion that you must read "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand or You can't win by Jack Black - the original one...). My magazine subscriptions are a pretty good indication of my interests: Discover magazine, Vanity Fair and Star (because sometimes your brain needs to have a little rest...). 30 Rock, Party Down, Arrested Development, Mad Men, and Real Housewives of wherever (I'm not proud, but at least I'm honest). When it comes to music, i like everything as long as it's good. When it comes to food, I like everything as long as it's good. I also love to cook and to feed people, I am jewish after all.
The six things I could never do without
family, imagination, friends, music, humor, curiosity, french fries, crisp fall days and a healthy disregard for accuracy in counting.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
why I had to take statistics in college and what it means that I connected the dots on my graphs until they drew animals
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends, doing or watching an improv show, at a Muay Thai fight, watching a movie, cooking dinner, cleaning my room, it really depends on the week that came before
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I'm standing outside your window as you read this

shit you live on the 30th flooo
You should message me if
If you have a pony for me, if you're looking for someone awesome to share your awesomeness with, or if you're interested in having a relationship as opposed to a hook up.
In case that still leaves you wondering if you should message me - I'm looking for someone who is funny, curious about the world, intelligent, passionate about what they do (whether for work or fun) and genuine.

Please be 5'11" or taller - no offense:)
