My self-summary
Chronic tweeter, aspiring Jedi, and popcorn junkie, in that order.
What I’m doing with my life
I finished my undergrad with a Bachelor of Arts (English major) in 2014, and am now the editor-in-chief at the Martlet, UVic's student newspaper. It's a lot of fun, except when people yell at me online. That part sucks a lot.

When I'm not being berated, I spend my free time walking places, working through my reading backlog, writing, and doing stuff with pals, which includes but is not limited to: getting beers, getting a little high, getting whooped at trivia night, and getting a sunburn at the beach.
I’m really good at
Not answering my emails in a timely manner
Being diplomatic when shit hits the fan
Showing up on time because I walk very quick
Tripping over uneven sidewalks (and even sidewalks, who am I kidding)
Recalling inane facts about Godzilla film lore (if you know where to find a decent torrent of the latest film with English subtitles, hit me up)
The first things people usually notice about me
It's probably not my beard.

Just kidding, it probably is.

I try not to let it define me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I *love* Stephen King novels and John Carpenter films, and other weird sci-fi and horror; I made short order of Stranger Things earlier this summer. (RIP Barb, they sure did ya dirty.) I also love Star Wars to bits but it's totally okay if you don't.

The fastest way to my heart is with a pack of peanut M&Ms, but peanut butter on toast with a cup of coffee will work too.

Oh, and I've seen Iron Maiden five times and have their mascot tattoo'd on my arm. So there's that.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee beans
Plaid shirts
Fish tacos
Movie theatres
Comic books
Butts (all of 'em)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting Foo and/or playing video games with my best friend who lives down the street. We're tight.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm currently mourning a pair of BC Transit sunglasses that I lost in Portland after owning them for two years ;(
You should message me if
You think you'd make a strong addition to our trivia team. Or if you want to smush our faces together. I'm not picky.
