What I’m doing with my life
Weeding gardens, humming all the time, wandering in the woods, getting involved (and trying to get others interested) in local and global social, economic, environmental, and political activism, listening to all kinds of music, making lists, and trying to make connections.

I am currently attending school and working part time. I am studying Information and Library Sciences and Elementary Education. I find it terribly ironic that I am studying ILS and yet have absolutely no time to read for pleasure.

I work at a small library and moonlight in a writing center. In the summer I work at a local museum as an interpreter and gift shop attender. And I help edit a newspaper (I even write articles for it sometimes).
I’m really good at
Asking questions, staying calm in challenging situations, starting crafting project and never finishing them, indecisiveness, making food (good and bad), laughing, being sassy, killing slugs, organizing things, asking others to peel my oranges, milking goats, reading books, memorizing songs, being a fool, making a clover with my tongue, wiggling my ears, petting cats, hula hooping, making children feel comfortable, and crossing one eye.
The first things people usually notice about me
I smile at strangers. I wave at passing cars when I'm walking. I say hello to people in grocery stores. I'm surprised how strange people think this is.

I blush entirely too much. I sometimes get tongue-tied if people address me directly. I can be shy but I am comfortable with silence.

I look you in the eye and have a tendency to skip small talk. I ask questions.

Six things I could never do without
I will not be taking this very literally:

1)Changing Seasons
2)Intellectual Conversations
3)Bodies of Water
4)Love In All Forms
6)The big 5: touch, taste, see, smell, and hear
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The apocalypse.

Well, not the zombie kind but our carbon footprint, our widening ozone hole, and the dwindling of natural resources. Ever seen 'The Road'? Terrifying!
On a typical Friday night I am
Sleeping, reading, contra dancing, taking a bath, and preparing for the weekend. I have a piano in my house that I’ll bang on (terribly, I’ve almost got hot cross buns down!) and I am capable of buying my own wine. I haven’t really found anywhere that I want to roam for company in the Bangor area yet; so let me know if you have ideas.

I used to go to bed at 8 and, though I still have the tendency to look forward to sleep, I am working hard to kick the habit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wear comfy undies or none at all.

I think armpits are much more attractive with hair.
You should message me if
you want to.

I really want to hear about what you're cooking for dinner, or how you saved a snapping turtle from near death, or a musical experience that you enjoyed, or a poem you wrote.

While I respect the person you are and that you are reaching out to another human being, I am NOT interested in having sex with you, no matter how much money is involved. I am also very much NOT interested in whether or not you are attracted to my physical appearance. I don’t want to hear ‘Hi, how are you’, ‘What’s up’, or other such greetings. I’m sorry, but no thanks.
