My self-summary
Adore a good argument, have no shame in sharing enthusiasm with others, and have a tendency to sing or quote movies at possibly inappropriate moments.

As a big fan of learning, skepticism, any snuggly animal, sci-fi, and general geekery, if you are embarrassed by enthusiasm or annoyed by (hopefully) reasoned arguments, seek elsewhere.

Please note that I have a macaw, right now she hates everyone but me, but that can always change with effort. Since she has another 30-50 years to her lifespan, it seems pertinent that anyone interested in me be aware that we are a package deal. Any ultimatum against Leo, and she has to win, that is what I promised her.
What I’m doing with my life
When I'm not working, sleeping, or at rehearsal, I am playing with my budget plans, walking my darling old lady of a dog, snuggling my bratface macaw, practicing, or staring at the dishes in hopes they clean themselves.

Sometimes stage manage for local theater productions, fun times!

I. Love. Podcasts. Recommend me some!

Definitely need to attend more performances that I don't play in, but they're less fun to attend solo. Plus... I'm cheap.
I’m really good at
* quoting movies, TV, and Mitch Hedberg
* spouting trivia
* laughing too loudly
* empathy
* multitasking whilst streaming podcasts or Netflix.
* demonstrating "too much" forcefulness of opinion. Do please dissent, lively debates are good. The worst thing you can do is smile and nod when you think you have more/better information on a subject
*Remembering what I do not need to know.
The first things people usually notice about me
Chances are if I meet your eyes, I smile. I think it might be a tic at this point, because it's the same smile no matter what I'm thinking or feeling. A tic, meaning that I have mild Tourette's Syndrome. No, it's not a joke.

I like green. A lot.

I am statistically taller than most people on the planet, my hair is significantly longer, I weigh more.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Wheel of Time, Anne of Green Gables (Shut up), One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, Pride and Prejudice (Deal with it),

TV/film: Star Trek -- in the middle of watching the whole series in story chronological order. Status: DS9 4/Voyager 2, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica minus the last two episodes, Castaway, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Friends (I don't care), Frasier, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Music: Camille Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3, Mouserat, Ol' Man River as sung by Paul Robeson, Musicals(almost all of them... I hate Carousel, though), All ensemble pieces with good tuba parts. ALL

Food is delicious so long as it is not spicey, and doesn't contain coconut or banana, but some favorites are: maki, pizza, alfredo, buttered toast, broccoli, Cabot Orne Meadows Cheese, cookie dough, seafood salad, baconators, fried Oreos
The six things I could never do without
My animals
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. Why there is so much to learn and I waste so much of the time NOT learning.

Honestly everything. I have OCD and anxiety disorder and a deep loathing for forgetting anything. I will overanalyze everything to death. Fact.

How come I can't sing bass, alas. Are you a bass/baritone? We should talk.
On a typical Friday night I am
Cleaning house, binge-watching, practicing, budgeting, and sleeping. Altering a tiny phrase of this stupid profile, which, let's be honest... is irrelevant because most of you don't even have the courtesy to skim before sending me a one-worded message... And I'm supposed to swoon? As if!
You should message me if
You want to attend a cheap and potentially fun local event. Those are most entertaining with company, so I usually end up not going anywhere at all. Please note that I am not really looking for a penpal right now, I wanna doooo something.

Fun activities include but are not limited to:
Board games
Nature Trails
Amusement parks
Orchestra performances

Unless you're wildly wealthy, I do expect to split the bill. 21st century, people: I pay my fair share on dates, you can cry when the need arises. Let's celebrate that.
