My self-summary
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
Mostly I am your average 41 yr old deviant, poly, gamer geek. I am married to an awesome woman, arifoxhawk. I like to think I am a fairly positive person and although I have a rich fantasy life I do not lack social skills.
What I’m doing with my life
Most days I play with leather. (cheeky)
As in I am a leather crafter with many commissions at the moment. It is both my art and a means of making a bit of money on the side. I start a new 9 to 5 job (probably more like 7:30 to 4:00) in the middle of July.
I play World of Oz, Shadow Accord and Spite. I have an Alliance character but have not made it to a game yet. I just played my first Amtgard and it was a lot of fun. I am going to Bicolline this year. I would really like to try Dystopia Rising too.

I do read but audio books let me craft while enjoying fiction. I just bought the complete works of HP Lovecraft from audible. Though I did just read the Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher.

Wednesday table top game is on hold for a while unless I find a game to play in that I am not running.

Fallout 4 is eating my brain
I’m really good at
Well when the planets align . . .
I am not happy unless I have a creative outlet, I am fairly good at being creative. I tend to excel at general geekery.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eye lashes.
I smell like leather.
swirly tattoo
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Casablanca, Star Wars, The Great Race (the movie with Tony Curtis not the TV show), Raiders of the Lost Ark, Pirates Trilogy,LotR Trilogy . . . I love movies and the process and art of movie making. Even a truly bad movie can have some good points.

Most. Although I am biased towards rock n roll, I love big band, swing, ambient, traditional celtic and new age. I love the folk rock that came out of the later end of the 60's. When I am working on something I prefer instrumental music. When I am driving I like something I can sing along too. When I am cleaning I just want it loud. Some of my favorite bands areHeart, Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention, Tempest, and Steeleye Span.

My favorite writers are Robert Heinlein, SM Stirling, Simon Green, Mercedes Lackey, Herman Hesse, Joel Rosenberg, Jim Butcher, Patricia Briggs and a dozen or so others. We have a lot of books, between the casual fiction, the reference and the coffee table books we always have at least one whole wall of books.

This one is weird because we don't watch TV we just subscribe to netflix. There are shows I really dig though. Anything Star Trek, BSG, Satisfaction, The Venture Brothers, Lost, Dexter a mess of others . . . I have only seen about six episodes of Game of Thrones, I would not mind seeing more of that. I cannot abide that Deadwood only went three seasons.

I should mention that I prefer things sort of dark, I mean I moved to WA because it is gloomy and rainy right? But Horror or dark themed media is part of my MO.

If you call me a hipster I will throw large heavy objects at you and kick you somewhere tender.
The six things I could never do without
My wife
I miss my cat. She went into renal failure on New Years.
Funny Dice
Some thing creative to work on
Pizza and Sushi (not together)
Something made of leather
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gaming, Fencing, Archery, The Lord of the Rings , Dvd , Comic Books, Reading, Playing Guitar, Banjo or Bodhran, Digital Art and Web Comics. LARP or the AFK Tavern. Trying to get fit. There are a lot of groovy activities I used to be into that I have sort of lapsed from which I would like to get back to. I am crazy kinky too so that takes up some of my mental process. Before you ask, I am a bottom which seems to surprise people. If you are really interested in that stuff I am on fetlife as SpaceRanger42 too.

At what point does being a verbose champion of social justice cross the line into shaming and bullying? I know a lot of people who seem to feel the need to be a moral compass for their community even at the expense of compassion and empathy for their friends. I think that there are ways to fight the good fight with out constantly being negative.

I resolve for the new year to maintain a regular gaming group and to be more physically active and get into better shape.

On a typical Friday night I am
Lately playing Fallout 4. I am a bit of a homebody but would not mind getting out more. I am more likely to go to a movie than a concert and I don't care for driving into down town Seattle. I would love to play in a table top game that I am not actually running.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
No seriously, I am pretty geeky. I apparently have HSV-1 and never knew it. I have never had an outbreak even during extreme illness or emotional duress.
You should message me if
You are kink friendly, dominant oriented. Gender is less important to me than personality and interests.

You feel you have something to share or if you grok that waiting has been filled. (obscure SF reference) Or if you understand that entropy always wins.

There have got to be more people in the area who play Settlers of Catan, come on I need my fix!

If you play Mordheim or any other entertaining table top war games and you want to get together and roll some dice, I would love to chat with you.

If you honestly do not know that The Lord of the Rings was a novel before it was a film we will not get along well.

I want to hang out with a roller derby girl, that would kick ass.

You should message me if an obsession with NERF blasters sounds entertaining.
