I am politically active, and if you lean politically 'right' please don't contact me. While I love a good debate, that is not why I am posting my profile.
I enjoy museums, art galleries, live music, theater, ballet and exotic foods. My musical tastes run the gamut. Friends have a hip hop group. Music with great lyrics and a story (Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Sting, Phil Collins) Instrumentals release my right brain to full capacity when I sculpt (classical, World Music).
I have raised one son, now on his own. I just moved to Greenville to be near him. That puts my in the exciting position to go anywhere in the world. There is so much I would like to see. I have been to Europe, 48 of the 50 United States. I have lived in NY, Los Angeles, Chicago, South Florida and now South Carolina.
I enjoy the vitality of city life with its abundance of restaurants, art and culture. I am also a lover of natural beauty and like taking the road less traveled and discovering views of the valley from a mountain overlook, waterfalls, rivers and forests. Asia is on my bucket list, and anywhere on earth near the ocean. I am a light traveler and fun companion and can be ready in 20 minutes. I prefer exploring to touring for the most part, and like to eat where the locals eat. A 5-star hotel is great for an occasional pampering but I feel more relaxed in a B&B. Where are we going?
I love socializing, and entertaining at home. I cook Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Italian including homemade pizza and other ethnic foods as well as traditional fare but have not yet perfected the art of sushi making. We can leave that to the experts. I use mostly fresh ingredients, locally grown if possible, and my meals are usually balanced and nutritious with many exotic flavors. If you are a foodie, that would be great. You enjoy thought provoking and interesting conversation while creating together in the kitchen. I call cooking "A short term art project with a tasty finish". Dim Sum, anyone?
Many of you have posted profiles that tell me nothing about yourself, the things that get your blood going, your accomplishments or disappointments. Tell me more. Tell me what motivated you to want to write. Is there a common interest we share? What makes you interesting? What are you passionate about?
I do not respond to winks. I do not respond to profiles or emails without photos. I am open about who I am, you should be, too.
I am pretty savvy, and desire to have relationships with thinkers and doers. I am not codependent and prefer men who are not. Interdependence, mutual respect and trust are first and foremost. Then, of course, is physical attraction and a fun, relaxed, non-confrontational approach to relationships from both sides. If you power trip, or have ever physically or mentally abused a woman, you are not for me.
I have no interest in people who drink alcohol daily, or drink heavily when they drink. My idea of a social drinker is someone who can have two or three on an occasional evening, and call it a night.
Water for Elephants- the book; haven't seen the movie yet.

Art is a solitary pursuit. Sometimes It requires spending hours in my space with my material, in my zone, without too much distraction. I would hope you would be able to find interesting and fun things to do when I was hard at work. I will not bother you while you are working! When we are together I will enjoy spending endless hours in pursuit of new and exciting experiences. I love casual body contact, a touch, a kiss, a hug for no reason. Giving and receiving, keeping the fire burning.
You know how to be a friend, a lover, a confidant, and are an open communicator. You are always up for an adventure, and don't need months to plan ahead. You are generous in spirit and know how to share emotionally, spiritually, with a kind, inclusive heart.
