A bit about me:
I am retired which affords me time to volunteer with various organizations I believe in. I can currently be found at OPB, OMSI, and The City Club of Portland. Volunteering allows me to help out and give back, while also meeting many fascinating people. In the past I have worked with Mercy Corps, The Portland Art Museum, and New Avenues for Youth. I have found that it is my volunteer experiences with children and youth that have inspired me the most; seeing their eyes and minds light up with new understandings is a reward beyond comparison.
I am a fit guy, committed not only to my physical health, but also to ongoing learning and personal growth. I appreciate humor and intelligence. I consider myself a Liberal and get involved in political campaigns. And, yes, I am a bit of a romantic.
What I am interested in is a relationship, from friendship to something more, with a woman who shares some of these same interests, a woman who lives from her own core of self-respect and self-confidence, a woman who likes to laugh, and cares about her health, growth and well-being.
If you are also looking for this kind of friendship, if you have heard a “yes” while reading this profile, then let’s meet and start getting to know each other, work past the shy awkward stage (okay, that’s about me), take some walks, listen to music, discuss books, and laugh. I would like to share my stories with you, and I would like to listen as you share yours.
I guess if you don't get, you don't get it.
Citizen Kane, The Ring Trilogy, Bringing Up Baby. Anything with Fred Astaire, Katherine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, Helen Mirren, all of Hitchcock's movies. The latest two Batman Movies. The Book of The Kells.
The Sopranos, The Wire, Treme, Psych, Warehouse 13.
Bach's Solo Cello Suite, Goldberg Variations, the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian Tyson.
That's enough for now.
