My self-summary
Either painfully earnest or bitingly sarcastic. Choir singer, basketball player, enthusiastic baker, good listener, coffee drinker.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in digital comms for a mental health charity, which means that I tweet and post on Facebook and do web stuff for a living. I love my job, and campaigning on mental health is something I really care about.
I’m really good at
Anagrams. Staying cool under pressure. Navigating new places. Listening. Picking up on small details. Making snarky jokes.
The first things people usually notice about me
It's really easy to make me laugh. And I have big blue eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books!
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Bonfire of the Vanities, One Hundred Years of Solitude, anything by Jeffrey Eugenides, The Hare with the Amber Eyes. Currently reading the Blind Assassin.

Films!
Brick, 50/50, 500 Days of Summer, LA Confidential, Say Anything, Lost in Translation, Before Sunset, Sicario, Creed.

Music!
Lisa Hannigan, Jurassic 5, Iron and Wine, Phox, Ages and Ages, Typhoon, St Paul and the Broken Bones, the Staves, Lake Street Dive, the cast recording of Hamilton

My favourite lyric is from Avant Gardener by Courtney Barnett: "The paramedic thinks I'm clever 'cause I play guitar / I think she's clever 'cause she stops people dying"

TV!
The West Wing (really anything made by Aaron Sorkin), 30 Rock, Community, The Wire, Parks and Recreation, and yes, Game of Thrones. I just discovered Planet Earth, and I don't know why I haven't watched it this whole time.

Also podcasts.
The six things I could never do without
1. Coffee.
2. Singing.
3. The New Yorker.
4. The company of good friends.
5. Basketball. Sometimes to play, but usually to watch.
6. Podcasts.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
People - what motivates them, how they think, what influences them. Where I'm going to get my next cup of coffee. What makes people get so worked up about professional sports teams.

Are there really that many dicks that message the women of OKC with sexual propositions? Where are all these guys, and what do they do all day?
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with a small group of good friends, in or out. I prefer this to big group interactions - I'm at my happiest when catching up with the people I really appreciate.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I fucking love Pitch Perfect and I don't watch Bakeoff...
You should message me if
Message me first. Go on. It's a really attractive quality.
