My self-summary
I am out-going, honest (brutally), and emotional. I love a good book, bowling, and fishing. I am from a small town but do not have the mentality; I like expanding my horizons. I'm extremely sarcastic and often offend people by this. I hate that I hate the human race as a whole but I'm a pessimist and I can't help it. This makes people-watching extremely fun for me.
I am a North Carolina native, and I'll be up front: I dislike Colorado. The only reason I am here is to finish my long-time-coming BA in Psychology. Honestly, I can't afford to move back south and pay out-of-state tuition!
Having said that, I am still looking to meet people while I am here. Relationships can be developed in many ways. I am most certainly looking for someone who wants to be appreciated, loved, and respected; who wants to have a family and who wants to actually spend time with his partner. Communication really is key for me. I cannot be with someone who does not communicate with me. I want to have enough things in common with someone that we can have fun together, but enough things we disagree on that there can be a healthy amount of arguing, conversation, and collaboration. I am always open to making new friends as well.

A couple other things: people who cannot spell or use proper grammar really upset me. I would not be likely to respond nicely to a person who is not on this same page. Also, if you have taken your profile picture with your phone, please don't send me a message. I want to see you, not your phone. This is highly annoying and distracting.
What I’m doing with my life
I'll be honest, this season of my life has been difficult. Both negative and positive changes have come about recently and I am doing my best to deal with these. I am finally completing college after ten years. So, I'm trying to "better my life" one step at a time.
I’m really good at
Singing, bowling, and wearing my heart on my sleeve. The latter often gets me in trouble. I've also been called a good listener.
The first things people usually notice about me
My short hair. I am pro-homosexuality but please, stop asking if I'm a lesbian. I'm not. Just low-maintenance.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Harry Potter, The Reliable Wife, Seal Child, The Giving Tree, and erotica

Movies: 28 Days, Practical Magic, The Net (ok, pretty much anything Sandra Bullock), Knocked Up, A League of Their Own, Serendipity, Captain Corelli's Mandolin... and more

Shows: Grey's Anatomy, Grimm, Private Practice, Modern Family, Whitney, New Girl, ANTM (but only because I think models are stupid), Pawn Stars... and more

Music: ummm, everything? Music is my favorite topic. But I especially like most country, Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver, Counting Crows, Gotye, Adele, 30 Seconds to Mars, George Winston, Armin van Buuren, The Lumineers, The Fray, Bryan Adams, Death Cab for Cutie, Ed Sheeran, This Will Destroy You, Mat Kearney, Greg Laswell, Iron and Wine, Def Leppard, Jackson Browne, Jason Mraz, Matchbox Twenty, Michael Bolton (yes, I admit it), Jeff Pianki... I need to stop. I could fill this entire essay with artists I like.

Food: I love Mexican food, milk, and cheesecake. I hate pork chops and I rarely eat red meat (not because I don't like it but because I don't often crave it). I have issues with weird textures of types of food. But I'm beginning to learn that it is necessary to try things at least once before I write them off. It's a step in the right direction.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
1. music
2. family
3. close friends
4. coffee
5. laughter
6. the belief in myself... if I can't believe in myself, who can I believe in?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. I hate what-ifs, but they are inevitable.
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to figure out what to do. I'm not into the downtown scene much anymore and really prefer chilling at home with my dog, listening to music or playing God of War. But it depends on the mood. I love going out for karaoke. In fact, let me know where a good set up is, and I'll be there.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrified of never being satisfied in my life.
You should message me if found what I wrote to be intriguing and want to know more. But please, no bums, druggies, or assholes. I've had enough of those.
