My self-summary
I'm from the midwest originally but have been in SF for 15 years, so I'm a west coaster now. I'm very much a man's man.. I drive a Jeep, ride a motorcycle, and I once rebuilt the engine on my '84 Honda Civic when I was broke post college but needed a working car. I promise I'll be one of the most honest communicators you'll know. I've long since outgrown the jersey wearing Sunday afternoons at sports bars. There's nothing wrong with it and I sort of miss the desire sometimes but there's just too many other things to do with my time. I'd be more inclined to spend that time reading a book in the park, hanging out at a cafe learning something new on my computer, a day trip up or down the coast with the top down on the Jeep or on the motorcycle, or hanging out with friends in the sun.

I'm an outgoing introvert if that makes sense. People often think I'm a marketing guy and while I have some chops there I'm more deeply steeped in software development. I can, and like to be the life of the party sometimes, but I also can reclude into my cave, recharge, and work on my projects, business, guitar, art, etc.... Being able to build whatever I can dream up with software is really empowering and artistically fulfilling for me. I can be a home body sometimes, though I do love a good adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
Working my day job of building software, being in musicals (well once and that just ended), lounging around in the park
on sunny days, working out to keep fit/healthy, spending time with
friends, enjoying good meals and a few drinks. Planning my next
vacation... (The past couple of years I've been to Australia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Belize, Guatemala, Peru, and Oahu) Next up... not sure yet but my freshly renewed passport is ready to go.
I’m really good at
Making you laugh assuming you've got a good sense of humor. (See: Jon Stewart, Dave Chappelle, Flight of the Conchords). Coming through when friends are counting on me. Analogies and metaphors, or at least I really seem to enjoy creating them :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm told my smile and outgoing nature when I'm feeling that way. Physically, I've been told my arms.

The six things I could never do without
Good friends, creativity (computer, music, food, art), the outdoors, french fries, being active, and music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Product/market fit.. aka "Does anyone care about this thing we're building?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends old and new. Karaoke may be involved. About to start hosting dinner parties and poker/game night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I co-authored a nerdy java book
You should message me if
I message you.

Or if you'd like to be part of a group of people that dress up like Super Mario Kart characters, rent those little yellow tour cars, and race each other around the city and drop banana peels in front of each other's carts.
