My self-summary
I never know how to start these things, so here are some quick facts about me in an aesthetically pleasing list form:

- bearded (often)
- short (always)
- dog lover (if there is a dog at a party, I will ignore the humans and play with the dog)
- amateur cook (love cooking for others. Made my first turkey this year)
- professional procrastinator (aren't we all?)

Some other things I love: politics, board games, talk radio, sports (mostly hockey and football but also whatever is on TV), video games, camping (but honestly more like glamping), and lists.
What I’m doing with my life
Doing Bane impressions using a coffee mug. It's addictive and I can't stop.

Fattening up my dog with too much love.
I’m really good at
Terrible puns.

Making awesome to-do lists.

Finding Youtube clips relating to whatever is being talked about.

Quoting Simpsons and/or Futurama lines at random.
The first things people usually notice about me
my radiant smile. unless I'm scowling at them. If the latter, then the first thing they notice about me is my menacing scowl, followed by my fist shaking in their general direction.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: ASOIAF - specifically Storm of Swords. Clan of the Cave Bear, FTW, Little Brother

Shows: Modern Family, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Top Gear, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, BSG, Lost, Firefly, The Newsroom, Dollhouse, Archer, The IT Crowd, Homeland

Music: Mostly vocal trance. Some electro and house. Above and Beyond, Sneaky Sound System, Faithless, Cerf Mitiska and Jaren, Gabriel and Dresden, Mat Zo, Arty. Anything with Justine Suissa doing the vocals.

Food: Anything delicious. I love to cook, and I love trying new things. I'm a big fan of grilled meats, so Persian and Greek foods are consistently at the top of the list of my favourite foods. Sushi is always good. I love a good steak. I also like a pretty decent steak and am indifferent towards a mediocre steak. The crispy mashed potatoes at Joey's are fantastic. I should also mention that I like dessert particularly anything custardy.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1) Board games and such.
2) A good, addictive TV show
3) The interwebs, for it allows me to dick around until the wee hours of the night.
4) Travel
5) Good friends
6) Having at least one good laugh attack a week
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Traveling - I'd love to take a road trip down the coast to San Diego, or across the country as far east as I can go before deciding I've gone too far. I'm also a fan of short vacations which involve sand, sun, and drinks with little umbrellas in them.

The zombie apocalypse - I think most people think they'll be one of those last few survivors. Making eye contact with the non-existing camera. Talking in a ridiculously scratchy voice. Doing uncharacteristically badass things. I however am pretty sure I'd be one of those people who shamble around demanding braaains.

Jurassic Park and whether or not it was actually a documentary disguised as a blockbuster
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with some friends, playing a board game or watching a movie, consuming delicious beverages.
Prefer home to bars. Prefer bars to clubs. I'm not 22 any more.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once accidentally spanked my aunt. She didn't think it was an accident. It was extremely awkward. It still is.
You should message me if
You made it to the bottom of this page and it did not enrage you. Also, if you were SO enraged that you just HAVE to write to me and express your opinion. Also, if you enjoy dinner parties.
