My self-summary
Looking for my last life-mate (friends first). My life has been on the road less traveled. I have lots of interests and energy, am smart, kind, positive, observant, sensitive, young at heart, and have a dry sense of humor. I'm self-employed and my work is mostly virtual/mobile. The state of the world feels personal to me.

I like quiet and solitude, but am sociable also, am funny with one or a few other people, and more shy in a group. My hair color is genuine. Most photos are recent. My mother and 3 aunts lived into their 90's.

What's not appealing to me: drama kings, Fox News fans, or motorbikers (too dangerous), sweating the small stuff, trying to look 40 when I'm 60+, close-mindedness, rants, negative attitudes. I've experienced big ups and downs in life, and would like someone who can relate to that.

Potted life history - daughter of fresh-off-the boat Dutch immigrants, grew up in Illinois, became wild and crazy hippie the minute I went to college, then lived in England for 8 years, became a lawyer, and married an English man there. I returned to the U.S. and lived in New England for 25+ years, raised children, divorced, had a variety of businesses (from divorce mediation to selling Beanie Babies), and then returned to the law, passed the bar and became a practicing U.S. lawyer at age 59. I moved to the south in 2012, and have moved to Eugene to join two of my three children.

Write me about yourself, and I'm happy to share more!

Family, friends, adventure, change, music, fresh air.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I can do to change the world; how to bring democracy with a small d to our country; living my beliefs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing at home or out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not crazy about my square jaw but there's not a lot I can do about it - thanks mom and dad.
