My self-summary
Like many of the folks on this site, I've become wary of dating sites. I suppose we all expect too much from ourselves as well as from those who we hope to partner with. As for me, my tastes are eclectic and I can be particular in my demands. However, once I meet the right person, everything clicks into place and whatever reservations I may have had quickly fade into memory. I recently completed my Masters of Education degree and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
What I’m doing with my life
I was a creative director in advertising, but as times changed, so did my prospects. Consequently, advertising was not there for me anymore so i decided to go back to graduate school to become a certified art teacher. The folks at my college convinced me to do otherwise. I now have my Masters degree in special education as a mild-to-moderate intervention specialist. I secured a position as a special education tutor at a high school, but accepted a position as an Assistive Technology Specialist working with individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition to my new career, I have resumed painting and have completed several canvases. While I am not entirely pleased with the results, practice makes perfect.
I’m really good at
I excel at planning be it for a party, project or event, I just know how to arrange things. I'm good at art and well-behaved in various mediums.) I suppose music is my first love and my tastes are wide ranging including alternative, classical, jazz, rock, some country (but not much). If you prefer listening to one type of music and are unwilling to experience other genres, then we'd would not be a good fit.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes are hazel, but they change with the season, i.e., get lighter, darker. They look the same to me and not particularly light, but that's what I've been told.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some of my favorite artists in music are David Bowie, The Shins, Kate Bush, Lennon, James Brown, Robert Fripp, Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music, Sparks, Stars, Ipso-facto, Magazine, Kris Kristofferson, Simple Minds, David Sylvian, Yukihiro Takahashi, Lou Reed, Tchaikovsky.

Books: The Sun Also Rises, Dragon Tattoo Series, anything by Raymond Carver, Fat Man in The Middle Seat by Jack Germond.

Shows: Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones, Real Time with Bill Maher, The Rachel Maddow Show, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, Meet The Press, Person of Interest, Girls, Wayward Pines, American Ninja Warrior, Hell's Kitchen.

Food: I'm a vegan/vegetarian, so meat is out. I am partial to french fries and vegan mac and cheese.
The six things I could never do without
That's a hard one, but for now I'll say family, music, art, food, movies, and working out at the gym.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I tend to think about my place in the world and what I can do to make it better for myself and others. I haven' figured out how to do that as yet, but I have hope.
On a typical Friday night I am
I am having a quiet dinner at home with a glass of wine watching a movie, painting or listening to music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not here.
You should message me if
You should message me if I sound remotely interesting to you. Granted, I've got much more to say and offer, but doing it all online seems a tad impersonal.
