My self-summary
You know that weird song you heard quite some time ago? The one that for some reason as weird as it is, there is just something about it that sticks? Then after hearing it a few more times it slowly becomes one of your favorites; so much so that you start researching the musician(s) and listening to more until eventually you fall in love with the band? That is me. I'm pretty cool, but pretty different. I can seem shy, but I'll throw out obscure references or jokes, mayhaps be a little corny. Either you'll be like "dafuq?" Or you will laugh your ass off. But at the end of the day I'll grow on you and maybe be lucky enough to become that favorite song.

A little about me: I do have goals. I also have a commitment to myself to travel abroad or to somewhere new once a year, even if alone. Asia is cool. I like to cook and tend to do so in bulk for great lunches. I love movies, movie theaters, lilac, fresh vegetables, mom and pop establishments, my monthly nerd memorabilia subscriptions, music to the moment, road trips, very hot foods, discovering new dishes, nature, cities, honest and organic connections, inspiring conversations, patience to learn and understand the right people.

You? I'd like an adventurer. Quirky habits. Ability to enjoy a social introvert. Open to international travel, trying new foods, and down with the likes of GOT, TWD, and John Oliver. And that you know the former acronyms. And the ability to enjoy a neo hipster-nerd. I just made that name up I think.

I come from an interesting back ground with a lot to share, and still a lot to learn.

...And this is why we will be BFFs forever...
What I’m doing with my life
Focusing on a new job and living in a "new" area!
I’m really good at
Working a lot. Road trips. High fives. Wearing flip flops. Not sitting when I pee. Not following packs. Looking to try new foods and restaurants, independent thinking, cooking from recipes, learning, retaining trivial information.... ugh this is hard...
The first things people usually notice about me
This is legitimately a mystery to me. Just how The Cardigans "Love Fool" is on right now via radio and I'm head bopping in Joy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books... just started getting back into them and focusing on classic "must reads" like 1984. I purchased many others.

I am a huge movie buff so good luck on me picking anything. I tend to love Indie flicks like "Perks of Being a Wallflower", "Michael Clayton", "Little Miss Sunshine" and recently "Chef" and "Boyhood". Don't get me wrong, a mindless blow up action flick is cool, too.

Music, well, same as movies. Lately I've been obsessed with Sirius AltNation with bands like The 1975, Grouplove, Passion Pit, M83, Haim, Bear Hands, Gin Wigmore, St. Lucia, Dirty Heads and Pepper. But in my 600 plus CD collection I have everything from Billie Holiday to Led Zeppelin to Megadeth to Smashing Pumpkins to Massive Attack to Herbie Handcock.

Food... put it this way, if there is something on a menu I've never heard of or tried, that is what I'm getting. But I try to cook when I have the time and do lots of fresh ingredients. Peking Duck closed makes me sad on the inside.

Shows: GOT, Breaking Bad, Battlestar Galactica ( One of the best shows ever: the reboot that is), Satire news shows, The Newsroom, That 70's Show... Ask me?
The six things I could never do without
Opportunity to learn and to lookup random info, ability to travel (have to use that passport more), my legs, good friends, an adventure, coconut water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately meeting new people and exploring the area more. Being in a new city in my 30's can be fun and I'm enjoying it, but it can be equally difficult to meet and greet.
On a typical Friday night I am
Seeing how I work Saturdays, low key. A movie, dinner out if the opportunity is there. Cooking. Upping any video game skills or lack there of. Reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Odd stat and not on purpose. All 5 of my significant long term girlfriends have been left handed...
You should message me if
