My self-summary
I just reactivated my profile so I decided that I needed a new intro, too:

I am a spiritually-centered, fun-loving artist. I love the smell of toast. I usually have five creative projects unfinished at any given time. I get energy from teaching *and* learning--those often happen simultaneously for me, too. Puttering is also a specialty. I am drawn to women who are passionate seekers, good listeners, and belly laughers.

I should also say that I love language and even its misuses. (Today I saw a cell phone cover package that said, in English translation, the clip made it "good for schlepping." Isn't that great?!)

Animals, art and nature make me happy and--don't judge!-- I have been know to do feline FaceTime with my 18 year old cat back east. Which is to say, I can deal with rejection. Which is to say, here I am.

Open to anything or nothing, but hoping to have some fun dates and maybe, just maybe, fall in love.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a writer and arts administrator.
I’m really good at
metaphor. reading the room. arranging flowers. making babies smile.
The first things people usually notice about me
I walk fast. I am not shy about laughing out loud. My hair is sometimes wildly distinctive.

However, these things might throw you off. I will likely also surprise you with my introvertedness-- sometimes completely blending in, and on purpose.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am reading everything from Polish poetry to mediterranean cookbooks to my New Yorker and NY Times Book Review.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Right now, I spend a lot of time thinking about family and illness, but also how I can be a more effective advocate for the issues and people I care about. In general, I love thinking about creative projects, the possibilities of language, and what makes life meaningful. But realistically, I also think a lot about my work, which I love.
On a typical Friday night I am
I can be just as happy winding down from the week with a good meal as I am with big plans for a show. I love both, but do the former more often than the latter.
You should message me if
You are living your life fully but are open to sharing what gives you joy. You are a listener, but can also tell a good story. Bonus if you don't like a lot of "chat" but are open to some laughs and a beer.
