My self-summary
I'm originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to Washington for the rain. Why ya'll live up here and complain about not having enough sun is beyond me.

I'm loud, opinionated, sarcastic, confident, ambitious, righteous about issues important to me, nerdy, playful, full of energy, blunt, thorough, honest, assertive, and completely intolerant of intolerance. I'm not afraid to start conversations with strangers, and interacting with people tends to be the best part of my day.

I am a feminist, and I still feel like I need to find the best way to have an impact as one.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a support engineer at a large software company, and I'm looking to eventually start my own company one day, as entrepreneurship has always been the dream.
I’m really good at
Pretending I know what I'm doing.
Never getting stressed.
Being a great host.
Spelling.
Improvisational comedy in conversation with strangers.
Playing devil's advocate.
Appearing cocky as a form of confidence.
Having inconsistent impulse control.
Foul language.
Collecting unique phrases and slang to use at appropriate times.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm brimming with energy and I project when I speak, which means I am extremely loud. Quite often I get carried away in conversation and before I know it I'm nearly yelling and gesticulating wildly in a public place about something mundane.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything immersive for film/tv/fiction. Anything with energy for music.

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire series, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Oryx and Crake, The Road, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, Snow Crash, The Poisonwood Bible, World War Z.

Movies: The Princess Bride, Forrest Gump, No Country for Old Men, The Road (yea, again), Memento, The Shawshank Redemption, The Silence of the Lambs, Casablanca, Saving Private Ryan, American Beauty, Hot Fuzz, Big Fish, In Bruges, Nightmare Before Christmas, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Seven Samurai, anything by the Coen Brothers or Wes Anderson.

Music: Heavy Metal, Jazz, Electronic. Flying Lotus, RJD2, The Sword, Opeth, Medeski Martin & Wood, Critters Buggin, Avenged Sevenfold, Amorphis, Tenacious D, Kvelertak, Mastodon, Amon Tobin, Red Fang, Iron & Wine, Emancipator, Celldweller, Talking Heads.

TV: Adventure Time, Breaking Bad, The Wire, X-Files, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Puella Magi Modoka Magica, Cowboy Bebop, Rick and Morty, Fullmetal Alchemist, Samurai Champloo, Archer, Hannibal.

Food: Sushi, pizza, a well-constructed salad, stir-fry, thai, italian. I like most food, and I love cooking (even if I don't do it often enough). Also pho is the sweet nectar of the french-influenced Vietnamese gods.
The six things I could never do without
1. Humor
2. Sushi
3. My friends
4. The Temple of Brodin
5. Metal
6. Metal
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I'm overusing brutal lately.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking cocktails or wine with friends at the bar or at my place
At a metal concert
Debating something I have strong opinions about
Binging a television series with whoever has gotten me started on it
Out on a run
Smoking a j on my porch with a book and wine
Wrecking that iron
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was completely socially inept in high school, and often came off as rude when I tried to playfully joke with people.

Also I dyed my hair blue in middle school and it looked turbo dumb.
You should message me if
- Dnd before trying to get in the pit at a metal concert sounds like a good Saturday
- "God hates fags" makes you want to hit intolerant people in the mouth with a hammer
- You like to make people smile
- You can make me laugh
- Ambition is your main motivator
- You aren't easily offended
- You can teach me something new
- You listen to Dan Savage's lovecast
- You can extend mildly amusing jokes nearly indefinitely within conversation to the point that they cease to be funny and then become funny again
