My self-summary
Let's see; where to begin? Well, I would call myself a cool nerd, meaning that I am a guy who enjoys very stereotypical "nerdy" things but I don't let those things control all aspects of my life. I enjoy movies, video games, comics, anime, etc. but being outside is fun and I love hanging out with people. Other things I'm into are skateboarding, theatre, music, parties with friends (especially theme parties; those are the best!), dance (although I have been taking a break from dance 'cause the NC School of the Arts burned me out a little... But I've been getting the itch, bad, recently). So, yeah, anything else you want to know, just ask. I find myself single and have some friends on here, so I thought I would give it whirl. Also just looking to meet some new people to chill with, having just moved here from Greensboro where I lived for far too long for my own good. So, whatever. Interested? Then just send me a message. I'll look forward to meeting you!
What I’m doing with my life
I got a job working at a restaurant in Black Mountain. I'm excited to be in Asheville for a number of reasons. Mainly, the availability of so many of the things that I love doing that Greensboro didn't really have an outlet for. I.E., all the non-nerdy things listed above.
I’m really good at
Assorted things. I like to dabble. Always looking to try new shit and see how good I am at it. Taught myself to juggle, I can play drums in Rock Band (the video game) like a fiend. I was a great dancer but have probably gotten pretty rusty in my time off. But I've still got my double pirouettes and tap dancing! I can make a mean gin and tonic. Pinball, when I can find it, these days. I am also good at spreading my nerdy addictions. I can take whatever you're into and point you directly to a movie, or comic, or anime, or whatever, that, 9 times out of 10, you will enjoy.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the chops.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Okay. I don't like to pick absolute favorites. I can list some, but don't like to pick an absolute because that can change with mood, or day, or whatever. But here are some of my favorite things in these categories in my head right now.

Movies: The Indiana Jones Trilogy. The ORIGINAL Star Wars Trilogy. Ghostbusters. Singin' in the Rain. Newsies. The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. Special When Lit. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho. Voices of a Distant Star. Wall-e. Dogtown and Z-Boys. Casablanca. Riding Giants. And so on, and so on. Etc., Etc. I really could go on for a while. I love movies.

Books: Anything Neil Gaiman's ever written (especially the Sandman and American Gods). The Hellblazer comics. The Walking Dead comics. Batman Arkham Asylum by Grant Morrison. Anything Mike Carey has written. Big fan of Richard Matheson. Dante's Inferno. Shakespeare, 'course. The Locke and Key comics.

Shows: Cowboy Bebop. Doctor Who. Firefly, and other Joss Whedon shows. The Venture Bros. South Park. Trigun. Paranoia Agent. Castle. Clone High. The Ultimate Hellsing OVA. This list could go on for a while too.

Music: Almost anything but contemporary pop country and rap. (I love hip hop, but what you hear on the radio is very rarely hip hop. It's rap. And yes, there is difference.) Really, i listen to rock, punk, ska, bluegrass, show tunes, classical music, blues, and damn near anything except the two things I previously mentioned.
Six things I could never do without
In no particular order: Friends. Family. My skateboard. Movies. Theatre. And, I don't know, probably video games?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Anything and Everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends usually drinking. My options for this has grown immensely since I moved to Asheville from Greensboro. I'm stoked to get out there and explore.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Ok. For this, I have two.
1. I've always secretly wished I was British.
2. If I come across a puddle of water, I have to tap dance in it. It sounds great and Gene Kelly was a huge inspiration to me growing up. I mean, he had a fever of over 101 when filming that iconic number!
You should message me if
If any of this has seemed intriguing to you and/or you think we might get along.
