My self-summary
It was a dark and sultry night, but then it always was in this city of fools and madmen. Even after three years stalking the teaming alleyways and swimming in its cesspool of sex and death, the sultriness made me uncomfortable. I'd never get used to it. But this night was different, because on this night she walked into my office.

She hesitated in the doorway before entering, the streetlight outside casting a silhouette of her figure on my office wall that burned itself into my retinas like a nuclear blast. She moved gracefully as she sat in the chair opposite me and lit a cigarette, while I fought a losing battle not to stare at her legs as they played hide and seek through the slit in her dress. It was when she leaned forward into the light to tell me that she had a job for me that I finally got to see the hardness in her eyes. life, the universe and everything.

Also how to take over the world as a malevolent dictator.

And where the hell the plot of this story is going to go beyond the first few opening paragraphs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Wondering where the sun went.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I once had a dream that involved Darryl Sommers. Go figure.
