Anyone still reading, read on:
In general, I seem to get along best with people who have opinions, but not those whose highest opinion is of themselves. I like conversationalists. Thinkers. Slightly giddy touchy-feely people, who think reason is sexy and unreason is a fight-club for the self-interested. Except when it's mystical. I like people who enjoy mystery, but aren't culty about it. I like people who like to laugh. I like people who dance when everyone's watching. Because they know they can. Those who don't mind fragments, if it renders the right effect. I like people who know the difference between effect and affect, and still manage to confuse the two. I like people who sometimes sleep-in because they were thinking all night about the painfully irrelevant. I like nature over nurture, and those who forgive their parents for screwing up. People who think farting is funny, and don't think women should be the tormented shadows of photoshop. I like people who appreciate poetry, and money. And those who are willing to do without both to piss off their mom. I like people who are familiar with failure because they try too hard.
If you think you're God's Gift and just want confirmation, know I'm as likely to throw a drink in your face than to swallow your guilty propaganda. I think if I had more to drink, I could keep going....
Does anyone else think this is just another online shopping site?
proviso: please do not email me blatantly sexual observations. I do not care how much you bench press; I do care about everything else. If you have a sense of humor and a modicum of intelligence, use it. Otherwise, I'm fair game. Giddyup.
Also: I make plays, publish articles, scan poetry well into the early hours and travel as often as I can. I'm working on the libretto for an opera. I'm working on a novel. I'm distracted by the concept of getting to work on time. I'm concerned I ought to work harder than I do but then again, I spend most of my time working....
