My self-summary
Energetic, motivated, intelligent & balanced gentleman. Amateur chef, music lover, reader, world traveller, thinker, human & animal rights activist. Humanist and proud feminist.

I live a happy & healthy lifestyle, and I work a full time job that I enjoy and keeps me challenged.

In my spare time I love to catch up with friends for drinks or coffee, go out to see live bands or watch movies/TV. I also love to read books, donate to charities and support causes I believe in. I walk anywhere from 8-10km a day (I love the sunshine!), and I see a personal trainer 3 mornings a week. I've lost 40kg just from eating right and exercising! Having said that, I love to cook and try new recipes. I'm at my happiest when I'm making something delicious in my kitchen, or pouring lattes and cappuccinos from my coffee machine. I also make amazing fruit smoothies!
There's always music playing too, of course (preferably something with funky bass) :)

I love to travel and explore new places/experiences. In December 2011 I went back to the USA for 6 weeks (including short stops in Jamaica and Haiti), and in April 2012 I went to Byron Bay for a 5 day music festival. I haven't made it to Europe yet, but it's definitely on my list (along with Canada and New Zealand). My all time favourite place in the world is New Orleans, I could talk about it all day. We live in an amazing world and I want to see as much of it as I can!

I'm very lighthearted and genuine, I love to laugh and I don't take things too seriously. Life's just too short for that!

In April 2013 I spent some time volunteering in India, an eye opening and rewarding experience for me. I made new friendships and discovered more about who I am. More than ever before I can appreciate just how lucky we are to have everything we have, and how hard we need to work so that others in the world can share in our good fortune.
What I’m doing with my life
I work full time in IT, but in April 2013 I went to India to do some volunteer work for a charity in Kolkata. It was probably the furthest I've ever been out of my comfort zone. But then one of the most rewarding parts of life is when you challenge yourself to do things you never knew you could!
I’m really good at
Cooking delicious & healthy vegan food, especially desserts. See my photo albums if you need proof :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I haven't asked, but I'm assuming it would be whatever amazing t-shirt I happen to be wearing that day.

Six things I could never do without
* Freshly ground & brewed espresso (no revolting instant coffee for me!)
* Music
* Breakfast bagels
* Mangoes
* Fresh air (I'd go insane being stuck indoors for too long)
* The Internet (except when I'm trying to avoid TV spoilers and all my American friends are online).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Making the world a better place...and what I'm going to cook next.

The rest of the time I'm thinking about how much I miss New Orleans, my favourite place in the entire world.
On a typical Friday night I am
Relaxing after a long week at work, usually cooking a stir-fry and enjoying a well-deserved imported cold beer while watching Parks & Recreation or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (whatever TV shows happened to air that day in America).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I own a replica Back to the Future Flux Capacitor. It's what makes time travel possible!
You should message me if
You're intelligent and interesting, and you can name something which makes you unique from everyone else!

Or if you just want to have some good conversations :)

Or if you have "Treme" listed as one of your favourite TV shows.

And please do message me, I love seeing the "...sent you a message!" thing popup on here :P

But if you're in any way racist, homophobic or transphobic, move right along. I can't stand bigotry.
