My self-summary
I'm a native of Los Angeles, born and raised on the westside and somehow managed to stay right here. I have always loved music and try to go to concerts whenever I can...which tends to be a lot. I love going to movies, especially horror films...but I'll go see just about anything. I'm pretty smart and I loved school, although I don't have any desire to go back again. I did manage to attend both UCLA and USC before I was through. I'm a very loyal, honest and trustworthy friend and I'm a great listener. I can be a little opinionated when it comes to things I'm passionate about and I love a good debate. I'm a total night owl. I love Disneyland and when I had an annual pass, I'd go as often as I could. And I like hockey... I'm an Edmonton Oilers fan. Yes, I know...I'm from LA, I should be a Kings fan...ask me about it some time and it will all make sense...

And my geek summary: I went to Comic-Con for the first time in 2014. I still have my Star Wars action figures and my Darth Vader carrying case. I have Sandman action figures on my desk at work. Yes, Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I have an Atari 2600. I'm slightly obsessed with actor Lance Henriksen (Bishop in Aliens and Frank Black in the tv series Millennium). I had a huge geek-out moment last weekend at Monsterpalooza - I got to meet Lance Guest from The Last Starfighter, one of my absolute favorite films ever. And yes, I love Star Trek...
What I’m doing with my life
I have a master's in social work and I make my living as a clinical social worker, but I was not always going to be a social worker. Once upon a time, I was an art major in college and my undergraduate degree is actually in Art. It's been awhile since I've done any work, but I still love going to museums when I have the chance. My favorite type of art is Surrealism and my favorite artists are Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keefe. I love working with animals and for a long time, I volunteered with a really great rescue at their adoption events for dogs and cats. It's an awesome thing to be involved in, helping animals recover from abuse and neglect and then connecting them with caring owners. It's been awhile and I miss it, so I'm hoping to get back to working with a rescue group again.
I’m really good at
Listening and being a good friend. Singing off key. Drawing. Smiling and laughing. Procrastinating. Staying up way too late for no good reason. I'm fluent in sarcasm. And puzzles...I'm really good at puzzles.

On a typical Friday night I am
at home...or out...I don't really have a typical Friday night...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Um...if I admit it, then it isn't private anymore is it?
You should message me if
You like what you've seen here, would like to know more about me or just want to say hi. And if you have a good sense of humor, especially if you can laugh at yourself. There is something very attractive about people who don't take themselves too seriously.
