My self-summary
Cute as a button, smart as a whip, silly as .. a thing that is silly, and awkward as... eh... ok ya and so on
What I’m doing with my life
Working in a job that I absolutely love (no joke, I almost get sad about taking vacations) in a career that I am passionate about. I am a speech language pathologist. I teach speech, language, and social skills (and more!) to kids and young adults with complex disabilities and disorders.
I’m really good at
Using my toaster oven
Judging bagels
eating too much sushi
eating not enough veggies
i've been called a cat whisperer
being awkwardly unawkward
painting pictures of things
Being a friend (I rock at this, just ask my friends)

I am really not good at:
watching where I am going
remembering names... or faces... (bad combo)
being tall (I prefer height challenged)
Keeping my mouth shut (foot in mouth)
penmanship (my hand writing looks like a five year old boy's)
knowing when to stop listing things that I am bad at..
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably how amazingly cute and awesome I am
then maybe my curls
then probably how cute and awesome I am again :)

Or maybe just my pup who comes with me everywhere I go :-)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Life of Pi, Middlesex, Memoirs of a Geisha, anything by David Sedaris, The Phantom Tollbooth. I like a lot of non fiction sciency type books like My Stroke of Insight, Brain on Fire, and autiobiographies that blow my mind like The Glass Castle. I also enjoy dystopian future type books, and books with time travel (The Time Travelers Wife, Kindred).

I am not a huge movie person, I prefer to watch them cuddled up on a couch with some wine and my roku. I tend to chat through movies which is so annoying (to you, not me) Some of my favorite movies are Best in Show (and pretty much all the other movies they make except maybe that last one that just cane out in netflix...), Sean of the Dead, and The Point. I just saw What We Do in the Dark and LOVED it.

Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Arrested Development, The Wire, Law and Order, Reno 911, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Big Love, Freaks and Geeks, The Daily Show, The Killing, Archer, Amy Schumer, Broad City, bojack horseman, Sons of Anarchy, Gracie and Frankie, Key and Peele (sp?)

Annnnddd Food, I like food. I really do. So if you don't really, we may not get along so well. I am a big fan of Sushi and Italian, but not together so much.. I also love burritos, and mozzarella cheese sticks, also not together, but I bet that would be really good. Food I do not like? broccoli, garbanzo beans and chic peas (isn't that the same thing?) peppers, and soda/pop depending on what state I am in.

music! Iron and Wine, The Blow, Magnetic Fields, Ben Folds, Kimbra, Santigold, Beach Boys, Paul Simon, Simon and Garfunkle, Elvis, Little Dragon, Alpha Beat, sonny and the sunsets, wild child, Beach House, Bon Iver, Islands, and so on.
The six things I could never do without
Good conversation/quality hang out time with my lovely friends
My pup who i bring with me everywhere i go
My fatty fat cat
Public transportation
A nice beer or glass of wine
And because of the above, my migraine pillz
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Am i actually hungry or do i just really want to go for a burrito?
On a typical Friday night I am
Out for dinner or drinks with a few friends, at home with a glass of wine and the Netflix, or at a party/event having a blast :) I'm usually less worried about what i do, and more looking forward to just spending time with the people i care about :)

And lastly, a word of warning:
"You're real confident...not a lot of guys like that." said an older gentleman to me recently, just before he asked me out to Applebee's for Valentine's Day : /
...so ya, proceed ay your own risk
