My self-summary
I'm a good guy, a sports nut, a history buff, a pop-culture junkie, a good and loyal friend. I've probably spent more time in Barnes and Noble than any one bar (though both are great for different reasons).

Born in NYC, grew up in NJ but have lived in other parts of the country. I love to travel, although haven't been doing so as much as I'd hoped. Love good food, good wine and good times, in NYC and elsewhere.

Like most people on here, I enjoy working hard and playing hard. Balancing the serious and silly aspects of life is important.
What I’m doing with my life
Seeing what 2017 and 42 have in store. Both have been interesting, so far. Writing/wordsmithing/content producing. Being prepared for football season (again). Reading. Having fun in NYC. Loving being an uncle. Posting nephew pics and other items on Facebook and Instagram.
I’m really good at
Talking sports, history, politics (sometimes), pop culture, etc.

Remembering things-I have an incredible recall for important and miscellaneous facts, dates, names, quotes, etc. Don't know how my memory works, it just does. Except for forgetting what I was looking for in the next room.

Bad jokes and good puns (though it could be the other way around).
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure if this qualifies, but people often mistake my age. I don't mind, feel free to keep thinking that I'm "only" 33ish :).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Where do I start?

Books-A Christmas Carol, The Autobiography of Malcom X, When Pride Still Mattered, Battlecry of Freedom, John Jakes North and South trilogy, Catcher in the Rye, numerous comic book and graphic novel titles, etc

Movies-The Empire Strikes Back, Superman(1, 2, Man of Steel), Coming to America, Beverly Hills Cop, Rocky(original, II, III and IV. V never happened!), Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Airplane, Wall Street, When Harry Met Sally, SuperBad, 12 Years A Slave, The Lego Movie, Anchor Man, etc

Shows-Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Empire, Cheers, The Cosby Show, Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Diff'rent Strokes, Inside The NFL, Game of Thrones, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Bob's Burgers, Breaking Bad, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report (went to a live taping in February '14. It was great, voice was nearly lost...), Archer, Scandal, Brooklyn 99, The Mindy Project, Real Time With Bill Maher, Broad City, VEEP, Silicon Valley, Black-ish, Episodes, etc

Music-Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, Motown, The Beatles, 80s music, Salsa, Merengue, Reaggae/Dancehall, Bob Marley, Gypsy Kings, etc

Food-way too many to mention. Love to eat, especially if steak or lobster is on the menu. Any red velvet dessert too.
Six things I could never do without
My iPhone.
A bottle of Chardonnay
A good book or kindle fire
My passport (gotta add some stamps)
Good friends
NFL Sunday Ticket (what can I say? This last one was a tough one)

Not necessarily in that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Football, history, Seinfeld quotes, "Who Was Don Draper And Where's My Coca-Cola?", my family, how good of an uncle I'm being, where I might have left something, my friends whom I've fallen out of touch with, my schedule for the week or weekend, what books or movies I'd like to read or see, what haven't I done or where haven't I been in awhile, what songs should I buy off of iTunes, politics, things along those lines.
On a typical Friday night I am
Having drinks with friends, at a movie, or at home reading, depending how the week went. Sometimes I just let Friday nights happen if I have no definite plans.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I admit to nothing.
You should message me if
You've made it through my profile without falling asleep.

You would like to chat/message further.

You've got some good book/kindle recommendations.

You're looking for a partner in or out of crime.

You'd like to explore/hang out in NYC during the fall (seasonal update). Could be a nice walk or grabbing a drink.

You'd just like to say hi.

Feel free to message me. Sports-fandom is NOT mandatory, so to speak. We might have other shared interests. Always open to going to a museum or seeing a play/movie/performance of sorts. Looking forward to hearing from you!
