My self-summary
I'm a chill, down-to-earth dude who enjoys conversing and connecting with people. I take pride in my easy-going nature.

I'm generally considered somewhat of an "old soul." Which makes sense, considering I frequently score INFJ or INTJ on the MBTI. I take pleasure in the small things in life and feel it's the company you keep that makes something fun, more than what you're doing.

I enjoy psychology, exercising, watching sports, music, playing cards and board games, beading (although it's been a while!), connecting with other people, drinking wine, trying new foods, and learning more about my Finnish heritage among other things.

I love helping others and enjoy being around generally positive people. I also enjoy being active outside.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm always trying to improve myself in some small way. Spending time with family and friends, being outside, and exercising have been priorities lately!
I’m really good at
"Being there" for people and lending an empathetic ear. I really enjoy helping others and listening to their problems, and hopefully, finding solutions. Also, pondering the mysteries of life. Such as, why does it take a whole book of matches to start a camp fire, but to start a forest fire it takes just one?
The first things people usually notice about me
A buddy once told me I'm "just like a pothead without the pot." Meaning, I'm quite mellow. I dig this compliment and find it to be quite apt!

Other than that, I would have to say my eyes/glasses. I used to get a lot of "hey you look like Harry Potter". And one time an obviously inebriated guy told me Christian Slater.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm not yet part of the cool kids Netflix club, though I probably should be.

C) Depeche Mode, The Cure, New Order, The Smiths, Morrissey, R.E.M., Erasure, The Rolling Stones, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ivy, any classical music, a lot more...I'm open to most things even if my go-tos are on the alternative side and dancey.

D) I love trying new cuisine. You can never go wrong with Korean! And I could eat sushi every day.
The six things I could never do without
1. Loved ones
2. Exercise
3. Warmth
4. Great conversation
5. Perspective
6. Memories
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to be a better person, and having a family someday. How great connecting with someone on a deep level feels. Analyzing peoples' behavior (it's the Psych person in me).
On a typical Friday night I am
Grabbing a bite to eat with some wine and catching a movie or visiting a few stores. Most of my friends in this area are married with children, so if they're free, I try to take advantage of that.

I enjoy traveling, and my family all live hours away, so sometimes I'm driving somewhere after work on Friday! I frequently feel the need to get out of town for a few days.

Also, trying new types of cuisine. I've already renewed Kings Island gold pass, so I'm looking forward to next spring!
You should message me if
You are a real, genuine person who has a kind disposition and a good soul. I'm super-friendly and willing to talk to anyone. Be a rebel, talk to me. My mom thinks I'm awesome, what further proof do you need?

And if you enjoy good conversation. One of the best things in life is truly connecting with someone.

And one more: if you're the type of person who always returns the shopping cart either to the store, or the cart corral. I'm chill about pretty much everything, but this is one thing that bugs me!
