So... I'm a 28 year old guy from Northern Ireland, and, like everyone, I'm absolutely awful at describing myself..! I really think it's best to get to know me in person, because I'm really not as weird as I might look in photos... hahaha. Well, ok, I am weird, but in a really good way!!!
I am an English teacher, so it's only right that I choose a few adjectives to give a summary of myself - easy-going, liberal, funny (so maybe arrogant, too...? haha), thoughtful, a bit of a feminist (yes, I'm a guy who thinks women's time has come!), shy, kind... and I guess some bad ones, because we all have them - a bit dismissive, shy again, sometimes lethargic but working on improving that, and I overthink things sometimes!
Trying to understand how Donald Trump and Brexit happened and whether it's all just a big joke.
Aside from that, struggling one step at a time to find myself in this world - when in reality, all I dream of is conquering it and ruling it as a benevolent dictator. Obviously.
All I'd say is that in terms of music, it's usually older, classic rock.. basically anything except meaningless modern pop (although I admit I'm going through a phase of listening to cheesy 90s pop, for old time's sake)
I tend to watch a lot of movies, of all types, but I go through phases, and right now I'm neglecting movies for series. But science fiction, the Coen brothers, Kubrick, etc would be a good place to start, independent films and anything a little curious, too.
For TV, I watch and have watched more than I can even remember. At last count, I currently follow around 20 different series... (while you're sleeping, I'm watching and reading, haha). But no reality TV, please! Let's keep this civilised... ;-)
Food - pretty much anything except seafood or offal... Indian/Pakistani, Italian, Mexican, Lebanese/Syrian being at the top of that list!
The BBC, the Guardian and Last Week Tonight. Together.
Distractions in general (tv series, video games, films, books... anything to distract from human stupidity and bad news)
And the legion of other things I can't think of - I dedicate the last one to them.
Mostly I think about how other people think, and how they come to the decisions that they do, why they do certain things... and often this leads to more thinking, or very possibly a never-ending clickathon through Wikipedia.
Oh, and conquering the world.
Basically, if you feel interested in knowing me, then why not? :-)
