I live in two worlds:
In one I'm an software developer: good at my craft, usually enjoy the work, and respected by my peers. But it consumes all my attention: a never-ending all-consuming vortex of productivity and stress. I am analytical and rational: point A leads to point B.
In the other, I am emotional and energetic. I am a yogi, a vegan, I sing kirtans and bhajans. I talk to people and am absolutely present and heart-filled. There is more to truth than what can be studied with our methods. The world is magic. Point A may lead to point B, but if you just let go and let the world lead you, you may find yourself somewhere radically different.
Embodying these two sides of me isn't easy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
J'ai pris des courses de français, et j'ai besoin practiquer parler. Apres un verre du vin, je parles mieux. Donc, si tu voudrais rire à mon mauvais comprehension, allons-y!
I love love love to dance. Almost exclusively ecstatic dance and 5Rhythms nowadays, because I have room to do my thing, and the energy is so much more loving and communal.
Music is life: rarely am I not listening to something, usually trip-hop like Zero 7, Air, Massive Attack, Portishead. Female artists like Sia, Goldfrapp, and Erykah Badu are my kryptonite.
My reading is between yoga texts like Tantra and Autobiography of a Yogi, and Great Novels (Great Expectations is my favorite, but I have a soft spot for Proust as well).
And finally .... this year I decided to be vegan! It's actually a fun challenge going through the aisles searching for lait and miel. BTW St. Viateur bagels have eggs :(
